| 3/1-My statistics test was today. I remembered more about the stuff than I thought I would, but I'm really not sure how I did. All I have to do is pass and I'm pretty sure I did that, so I'm not too worried. I have so much stuff to do. 3/2-I get to go to the Cleveland Girls' Basketball State playoff game tomorrow. Me and Briana went to the mall after class to buy stuff to wear to my party, and then we had to go hunt down Mr. Ogden to get our tickets to the game. We finally found the hotel the team was staying at after driving around the Arboretum for awhile and I realized that I had been to the restaurant right in front of it last weekend. I, of course, didn't even think about the fact that it was the same place when we were looking for it. We finally found the hotel and walked into the lobby even though we hadn't gotten in touch with Mr. Ogden so he would know we were coming. Luckily when we walked it Ms. Perry was walking in the lobby from the other side and the man she was with was on the phone with Mr. Odgen. We talked to him and he said he would be there in 10 minutes. He showed up and we bought out tickets. Hopefully the game will be worth the trouble of getting the tickets. 3/3-It's my birthday and I've talked to so many people today. Walker text messaged me this morning at 7:30, Daniel called a few minutes before 8, Heather and Madhavi sent me e-greetings, and about 7 people sent me messages on facebook. I talked to my family too of course. I went to the game after class, but Briana called and said she couldn't go because her pledge meeting was rescheduled to 4 instead of 5:30. So I went alone. I saw a bunch of people I knew since a lot of people from Cleveland were there. I sat with Jacy and Jarabeth. Meeghan, Meredith, and CJ were all there too. The game was awesome. We were down by 16 points at one time, but at the end of the second half we were tied 55-55. We won 69-63. Thirty seconds before the end of overtime Shante Perry, the MVP, slammed into a girl from the other team and they both laid on the ground for awhile. Shante got up first, but the other girl couldn't even hold her head up. She got up finally too. I'm hoping Shante is ok because we don't really have a chance in the state on Saturday if our MVP is injured. When I got home Jill gave me a dozen Tiffany's Treats cookies, and a candle. Then I had to go get my car washed. Well I went to a Shell station to get gas and go through a car wash and I locked my keys in my car. My whole purse was in the car, so I didn't have my phone or anything. I went in the gas station to use the phone, but I couldn't make long distance calls on it. So I asked the guy that worked there if he knew of a locksmith I could call. He said that if I called a cab they could come unlock it for me. So I called and they came in less then 5 minutes and took about 5 minutes to open it. It cost $25 but I was just glad it only took about 20 minutes total from the time I locked myself out to the time I drove off. Anyway, I did end up getting my car washed and I went home. I have a bunch of stuff to do (like cleaning because Heather is coming tomorrow), but I have to work in the morning so I'm going bed. It's been a good day. 3/4-I went out to the lake today, but I ended up not needing to go. Marie met me out there though because they live really close to the marina. She showed me the boat and talked about it a little bit. I got home earlier than I thought I would, which was good. Heather got here and we went to Target. Then we got ready and went out. I had fun. These are the people that showed up for my party: Lea, Bella, Ellen, Travis, Jill, Alex, Maggie, Vanessa, Walker, Heather, Briana, and Jessy. I had a lot of fun. We ran into Cleveland people on 6th street because they were in town for the game. It was Brandon Green and a group of guys I recognized, and then Clint Culberson and another group of guys that I recognized. It was kind of weird to see them in Austin. 3/5-Well, the girls lost today. The team they played was making their 20th trip to the state tournament and their coach had won state 12 times. They only missed 3 shots they tried for in the whole first half. The girls weren't too upset after the game. Heather and I went and had pancakes and french toast at Kerbey Lane after the game. We took a long nap afterwards. We ate at Bennigans for dinner and rented a movie called Sliding Doors. It was good. 3/6-Heather tried to leave at 11:30 this morning, but she left her dome light on so I had to jump her off. It was funny seeing us try to do that, but it wasn't very hard. I studied a little on and off for the rest of the day. I went to IHOP to meet my study group for psychology, but only one other person showed up so we left. I just want the extra credit for it. Now I have to go back to work and class tomorrow. I've had a really good birthday weekend. 3/7-I went back to class and work as usual today. I'm glad this weekend felt really long, but it was hard to go back. I went and talked to my advisor about registering for classes next semester. I can't take any more classes until I declare my major and I can't declare my major until I take calculus 2. I'm going to take it this summer which means I can't register for classes until the end of the summer when I can declare. Anyway, I asked her if there was anything I could take. She said maybe I could take the psychology classes for my minor, but that I can't declare a minor until I declare a major, and I can't take the upper-division psychology classes I need until I declare a minor. So basically I have nothing to register for when registration starts. But she said that she could make it to where, for registration purposes, it looked like I had a major, but I am really still unspecified business. So she did that, even though she really wasn't supposed to, so now I will be able to register for anything I want. We also figured out that I could take 12 hours every semester for the next 4 semesters and still graduate on time, or I could possibly graduate a semester early. That's exciting, but now I don't know what to do. Right now I just have to figure out what I'm going to be doing this summer. I need to talk to Nita, my boss. My parents are supposed to be coming this weekend since I will probably be working over spring break. 3/8-I took my first test in personality today. It was kind of a joke. He gives so much extra credit that I probably could have marked answers and it wouldn't have mattered. I like the class and it's easy so I'm glad I took it. I have a philosophy test tomorrow, which will not be a joke so I need to keep studying. I have been looking online for places around here I can take yoga or tai chi. I really want to start doing something like that after spring break. I think it will be fun. 3/9-I asked Nita this morning what my schedule for spring break would be. We concluded that I could go home after I go to the lake on Friday. I don't have to work all day on Friday because she won't be there. Anyway, I may have to come back on Wednesday morning, but it depends on a couple of things. I'll just have to wait and see. I'm glad I won't be here alone this week. Heather is leaving for Hawaii in the morning so I can't hang out with her in Cleveland. I'll have to call Christiana or something. She might be town. A bunch of people will be in Padre, so that limits the people even more. I took my philosophy test this morning. Surprisingly it was a lot like the review sheet (the last one wasn't) so I did pretty good I think. I was just glad to get it over with. It's all down hill from here. I should already be on spring break. |
