3/21-I didn't have to go to the lake before I went home for spring break. Me and Christiana made her mom a really neat butterfly cake for her birthday. I spent a lot of time with her. It was fun. I also saw Heather, Ellen, Ericka, Matt, John, and Skip while I was in Cleveland. Heather had a blast in Hawaii. I had to work on Friday so I came back to Austin on Thursday night and drove back to Cleveland after work. I did all that because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to see Heather at all over spring break. I also died my hair and cut it over spring break. It's strawberry blonde and I have bangs now. I really like it. I went back to class today telling myself the whole time "only 7 more weeks!" Oh and John Harbour called me. That was a surprise.
3/22-Class was boring today. Nita was going to have me work after class today, but she didn't. I was glad. My parents may come to Austin this weekend. I asked my mom about getting a credit card so I can build credit. I should be able to pay it off every month so I don't have to pay interest. I need to ask Nita tomorrow about working this summer. I don't want to stay in Austin, but I may if she wants me to.
3/23-Today kind of sucked. One of the other presentation teams screwed up and accidentally did my group's presentation. The professor emailed my group this morning and told us the other group was presenting our topic today. I had already done some work for it, so now I have to start over. My professor said he has never had that happen before. He didn't know what to do to make it fair, so he went ahead and let them present and gave us the option of either presenting that again or choosing a new topic. We are going to choose a new topic because people hate listening to all that stuff the first time. They definitely aren't going to want to hear it twice. I wouldn't really care except I had already done some work on it and I actually kind of liked the topic. I asked Nita about the summer. I told her that registration had already started and I needed to register for classes. She said she would talk to Manuel (the owner). I'm hoping she will have an answer by Friday. I started using Quicken today. I set up my accounts and everything. Maybe if I continue using this I will know where all my money goes...
3/24-Today is my official "I'm An Idiot" day. I forgot Walker's birthday yesterday. He had to IM me and remind me. Then I forgot that I spent a day at the lake with him over spring break. I need to go to bed. Maybe I won't be so dumb tomorrow.
3/25-I worked from 9-5 today. The only reason I actually got off at 5 is the owner let everyone go home at 3. We all went to Pappasito's for a farewell lunch. One of the employees is leaving. My parents are here and my dad got a ticket on the way. Then right when they got here it started hailing really hard. It cleared off pretty fast though. We ate at Red Lobster and then we had to go to Wal-Mart because they forgot all their bedding. We had to go buy an air mattress, pillows, and sheets. I'm not sure what we're doing tomorrow.
3/26-Today my dad fixed the stupid dryer vent that was letting birds in. He found a dead bird in it, which explains the smell my mom can always smell but Jill and I can't. We went to Kerbey Lane for lunch. We went to Wal-mart and bought some stuff for my room and took Casey to Old Navy. We were going to eat at Buca Di Beppo, but it took us a long time to find it and then there was a long wait. We ended up getting Taco Cabana and coming back here.
3/27-Church was really good this morning. Over 4000 people attended the two services. That was a record. My family left and I took a really long nap. I should have tried to get more stuff done, but now it's too late. I need to go to bed.
3/28-Still no word from Nita about whether or not I'm working over the summer. Maybe she'll know something by Wednesday. In the mean time the classes I need to take are filling up. I started the first part of the accounting project that's due Wednesday. I would have started it earlier, but I didn't realize how much it required. I worked on it for about 4 hours straight. I'm almost done now, so it will only take me about another hour tomorrow. I'm not sure when the last part is due, but it's a group project so I'm not too worried about it. I also have to work on the presentation that my group has to give next Wednesday. Since that other group took our topic we're down to having nothing accomplished. I want it to be Friday. I might go to the UT baseball game on Saturday. I haven't been to one yet.
3/29-I actually did a whole chapter of statistics questions today. It made me feel better even though I have 2 more chapters to go. I went to a fitness assessment also. It was pretty cool. I finished my accounting project. It wasn't as bad as I had thought.
3/30-I got an A on my philosophy test that I took 3 weeks ago. The TA just got them back to us. I also found out that I get to go home over the summer. Nita said that the girl that did what I'm doing now last summer will be back this summer so I can leave and come back in the fall. That is exactly what I wanted to happen. The girl is the owner's niece and her dad, the owner's brother, works here too. Now I can take calculus at Montgomery again like I planned originally. I just need to figure out if I'm going to work over the summer. That is assuming I can find a job. I turned in my accounting project, and then didn't do too bad on the Ch. 9 quiz. I hope I did ok anyway.
3/31-I got more statistics questions done in between classes today. The test isn't for a couple of weeks, but I didn't want to be stuck cramming before the test. I went to Wal-Mart after class. It was a mistake because I hit rush hour traffic going there, and then when I tried to leave it was storming. I stood in the foyer for 15 minutes waiting for it to stop because I didn't have an umbrella. It quit pretty fast so I didn't get too wet. I also scheduled my first personal training session for Sunday. It should be neat.
