Good Shepherd International School, located at Ooty, The Nilgiris – the “Queen of the Hills” is the manifestation of a dream by Dr.P C Thomas in February 1977 in facilitating quality education and nurturing holistic development that would enable a child to excel in his / her chosen field confidently and rise to the challenges of an emergent global community.

Over the years, perseverance, dedication and hard work paved the growth of the school backed by the trust of thousands of satisfied parents who have entrusted their wards to the care of the school.

The school has approximately 160 acres. 20 acres at Fernhill (approx 3 km from Ooty town) the erstwhile Baroda Summer Palace “overlooks the famous Ooty lake”, houses the primary section i.e., upto class VI and the Good Shepherd Finishing School.

Apart from these two, we have the Shepherd’s Farm approximately 60 acres at Gudalur, catering to the Dairy, Poultry and laundry needs of all the students along with an excellent camping site. “The Good Shepherd Gardens”, which is approximately 15 acres accommodates the staff and is located within one km from the Palada campus.
