* Rescuing abused and neglected children from desperate and dangerous situations. ECM child rescue has a special concern for street children, slave children, African orphans, homeless and abandoned children, children of war, and children in poverty.
* Aiding Christian orphanages as they work to rebuild the broken lives of Sudanese children
* Teaching the Gospel of Christ and the character-building truths of the Bible to all Africans, beginning with African children.
* Awakening African leaders to the importance of children.
* Placing special emphasis on Christian education and leadership development programs to motivate, train, equip, and provide resources to empower African churches and leaders for children's ministries and youth outreach.
* Joining hands with the churches, families, and civil authorities of New Sudan in building a strong nation by rebuilding the broken lives of children and youth |

|
The Republic of Sudan is the largest African country by area. The country is situated at a crossroads between the Horn of Africa (Northeast Africa) and the Middle East. It is bordered by Egypt to the north, the Red Sea to the northeast, Eritrea and Ethiopia to the east, Kenya and Uganda to the southeast, Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Central African Republic to the southwest, Chad to the west, and Libya to the northwest. New Sudan is the southern part of that country, now working towards becoming an independent republic by the peace accords of 1981. Sudan (including Sudan and New Sudan) is the tenth largest country in the world by area. |
