| Merry Meet and Welcome to the Online School of Eclectic Wicca. Here we offer the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Degree's for Eclectic Wicca. We do not teach any particular Tradition of Wicca, thus the name "Eclectic." You do NOT have to be Wiccan to attend classes with us. However, if you do not want a structure that is geared strictly towards Wicca, then please look to the "LINKS" page for a list of schools that teach Eclectic Witchcraft. With our school, you can obtain instruction on Wicca, starting with the very basics, through basic magick, through Higher Magick, up through learning what it takes to be Wiccan Clergy. All of our teachers here have completed all of the lessons here that we offer. Please see below for a Degree Outline. Along with teaching Wicca, we also teach Astrology and a class on Animal Guides. We are currently working on a class in Norse Mythology, Greek Mythology, Roman Mythology, and Celtic Mythology which will all be electives. As a student here, you will have a structured set of lessons, and you will also have a specified "Chat Time" for one on one and group learning. All chats will be done through a Yahoo Chat so that voice can be used. Along with the structured lessons in Wicca, you are required to take at least one elective. Upon successful completion of your 2nd Degree, you will be required to teach at least 6 students the 1st and 2nd Degrees, or you can create a class of your own to teach. Upon graduation, you will have the option to receive a package that will contain all of your lessons, on floppy disk, CD, and printed. You will also receive a certificate stating that you have successfully completed the course work and you will then obtain the title of 3rd Degree Priest/Priestess of the Online School of Eclectic Wicca. You will also receive a Purple cord that can be worn during your rituals to symbolize that you have obtained the 3rd Degree status. Your printed lessons will be in a binder with the school's logo on it. As much as we would love to be able to offer this package for free, we cannot as the ink required to print your lessons, the floppy disks, the CD's, and the cords are not free and neither is shipping. So, should you choose to receive the package, the cost of the package is included in your tuition. Thus, another reason for us charging the small fee that we do charge. Also, as much as we would love to be able to offer these classes for free, each teacher here spends approximately 30-50 hours per week working with students, grading lessons, and general administrative duties with the school. They also all work outside the school and have lives outside of the school. Many of us have families and children. We have tried offering the classes for free, but have found in the past that anyone will do something if it is free. And 9 times out of 10, those students do not adhere to the lesson timeframe, do not answer Roll Call, and generally could care less if they do the lessons or not, while we the teachers are left chasing after them trying to get them to do their assignments. This is something that we cannot and will not do anymore. We have found that those students that actually have to pay for their education take it more seriously and tend to work harder to achieving their degrees. Wicca is a serious path and not one to be taken lightly. Therefore we want to be sure that you are going to do your work, and actually learn about the path that you have chosen to follow. The payment scale works as follows: 1st Degree only---$30 1st Degree and Graduation Package---$45* 1st Degree and 2nd Degree---$60 1st Degree and 2nd Degree and Graduation Package---$75* All Degrees (Graduation Package is FREE)---$80* If you wish to take only the Astrology Course, you are welcome to do so. The cost for the Astrology Course is $45. If you wish to take only the Animal Guides Course, you may do that as well. The cost for the Animal Guides course is also $45. If you wish to take them both, the fee is $80. * If the package is to be sent internationally, meaning outside of the United States, the student will have to pay the balance of shipping costs. (Ex. to ship a package weighing 5 pounds from Indiana, USA to Kuwait will cost approximately $27. We allow $15 for shipping. Therefore if you live in Kuwait, you would have to pay a balance of $12 in order for us to ship your graduation package to you. For more information on shipping prices, please email Lady Raven. The payment is a one time payment and is not refundable. The teacher gets half of the payment and the other half goes to funding the school for things such as your graduation package. Once you pay for the lesson it is paid for, regardless of whether you finish it or not. You are only required to take an elective class if you choose to pay for all of the Degrees. The graduation package will be distributed to any student that requests one. Should you decide that you only wish to take the 1st Degree Course, yet want a graduation package when you complete it, that is fine. We will send you a binder with the school logo, that will contain all of your printed lessons from the 1st Degree, as well as a Floppy and CD that have the same. You will also receive a blue cord. Should you choose to take the 1st and 2nd Degree, you will receive everything listed above, but instead of a Blue cord, you will receive a Red cord. Now, should you choose to purchase the 1st Degree lessons only, and then later decide to take the 2nd Degree, we will deduct the payment of the 1st Degree from that of the 2nd Degree. And if you then decide that you wish to take the 3rd Degree, we will deduct your payment for the 1st and 2nd Degrees. Please note, that you cannot take the 2nd Degree until you have taken and passed the 1st Degree, and you cannot take the 3rd Degree until you have take and passed both the 1st and 2nd Degree. | 3rd Degree Reports: 1 Yule 2 Imbolc 3 Ostara 4 Beltane 5 Litha 6 Lammas 7 Samhain 8 Mabon - Make a short report on each of the Sabbats. Include the Reigning God or Goddess, colors associated, rituals that can be done etc. (This should be done in 8 separate reports) 10. Write a ritual for a New Moon Esbat. 11. Write a ritual for a Full Moon Esbat. 12-13. Research different traditions for their Handfasting Rituals, and write a brief report on each one you research.. please do at least 2. (this is done separately as well) 14. Write a ritual for Handfasting based on what you have learned from other traditions. 15-16. Research different Traditions for their Wiccaning or Baby Dedication Ceremonies, Do at least 2 reports on what you find. (separate reports) 17. Write a ritual for a Wiccaning or Baby Dedication Ceremony based on what you have learned. 18-19. What is the Great Rite? How do other Traditions observe it? Write a report on it. Please find at least 2 traditions that observe the Great Rite. (separate reports) 20. Read the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights. As a member of the Pagan community what are some of your feelings on this, which rights are most important to you? You do not live in the United States, then look into your own countries Human Rights, and tell me about it. 21. As a member of Pagan Clergy, what are your plans after Graduation? You be a leader, or will you just be content to let others lead? How has this Learning Community helped you in your Spiritual and Intellectual growth. Your Final exam will consist of at least a 3 page report on what you have learned in your 3rd Degree training. Be open and honest with yourself |
| Now that you have had an opportunity to take a look at the outline of the lessons that we offer, if you would like to apply, please email Lady Raven. In the subject line please put: Application for ESOW. Then in the body of the email please state why you would like an application. We will send you instructions on how to pay the application fee along with the application. Please note that there is a $10 non-refundable Application fee. Once we have confirmation that you have paid the application fee, we will review your application. Upon approval of your application, you will be notified who your teacher is and your first lesson will be sent to you.
