Concerning Student Discipline
ECHO is a co-op; therefore, discipline problems will be addressed to the parent of the child.  Participation is a privilege, not mandatory.  Children will be taken to the parent if they are causing a problem.  At registration, each family member will sign an agreement that states they will abide by and follow ECHO's Discipline Procedure.

Please consider the following procedure, as well as items #1 and #2 in
ECHO Guidelines, to determine if this is the appropriate learning  environment for your family prior to registration.

Discipline Procedure
1. A verbal warning is given.  If the student continues to misbehave, he will be escorted to his parent by the board member on duty, and must remain with the parent for the rest of that day.  Hopefully this first warning will be enough to cause the student to realize that misbehavior will not be tolerated at ECHO.

2.  If the same student misbehaves during another class time of the same eight-week session of ECHO, a second verbal warning will be given.  If the student continues to misbehave, the above procedure will be followed a second time.
After the second offense, the student will not be allowed to return to ECHO for the remainder of that eight-week session. The parent will need to find alternative care for the child each week while the rest of the family continues to participate in the remainder of the session.

Let's work together to make this an enjoyable, positive learning experience for all involved.
