SECTION I: General Information

1. Season 5 of WrestleLeague will begin immediately before September's WWE pay-per-view event (Unforgiven) and will end immediately following August's WWE pay-per-view event (SummerSlam).

2. Each WrestleLeague roster will be lead by one general manager (GM).

3. No new general managers may join WrestleLeague while it is in season. New general managers will be considered and welcomed for the following season before that season's draft.

4. Each roster must contain a maximum of eighteen (18) wrestlers, but no fewer than one (1) wrestler.

5. All general managers are able to "pull out" of WrestleLeague play at any time. In the case that a general manager pulls out, the remaining general managers must approve a replacement general manager for the affected team by a two-thirds vote. If a replacement has not been placed in the two (2) weeks following the original general manager's departure, the affected team's roster will be divided among the remaining general managers in a draft-style lottery. All wrestler points will stay in tact, but will not transfer to the new team(s).

6. General managers are afforded one (1) WrestleLeague roster each. No general manager may hold more than one (1) roster.

7. If a general manager accuses another general manager of cheating or is dissatisfied with that person's performance and would like to pursue deactivation proceedings, a full investigation will be carried by the other WrestleLeague participants. At the conclusion of the investigation, all general managers (including the one being investigated) will have an equal, two-thirds vote to decide whether the original claim is valid. If in the affirmative, that WrestleLeague participant will be deactivated from WrestleLeague. An equal, two-thirds vote by all remaining WrestleLeague participants will deem the immediate replacement.

8. Any amendments to these rules must be approved by two-thirds of the current season's general managers. Rules may change at any time throughout the season with two-thirds approval from the current season's general managers. It is the responsibility of the person who amends this rules page to inform all general managers of all changes in a timely manner.

SECTION II: Drafts

1. Before each season begins, a draft will take place to determine which wrestlers will be placed on which rosters.
1A. All wrestlers on the WWE and TNA rosters will be included in the draft.
1B. The winner of the previous year's WrestleLeague competition will be awarded the number one draft pick for the following season. All remaining general managers will be selected at random (by a blind drawing of names) for the draft. All general managers will then choose their selections (one name at a time) in the order in which their names were drawn for the first round only. All subsequent rounds will commence in a rotating fashion. For example, if three general managers were assigned numbers 1, 2, and 3, the first round of picks will go to GMs 1, 2, then 3. The second round of picks will go to GMs 2, 3, then 1. The final round of picks will go to GMs 3, 1, then 2.
1C. All rosters must begin the season with eighteen (18) wrestlers.

2.  Three (3) draft lotteries will take place throughout the course of the season. During these lotteries, each general manager will be assigned another general manager off of whose team he will be allowed to choose no more than one (1) wrestler for his own team.
2A. All general managers will be allowed to give immunity to up to five (5) of his wrestlers. These wrestlers cannot be drafted by another general manager.
2B. Each general manager will be assigned another general manager's roster off of which to choose in a random drawing. No general manager may draft from the same general manager's roster in more than one (1) draft lottery.
2C. The dates of the draft lotteries for Season 5 are as follows: January 18, 2007; April 19, 2007; July 19, 2007.

SECTION III: Disabled List

1. If a wrestler is injured or suspended, the general manager may place that wrestler on the Disabled List. When that wrestler is placed on the Disabled List, the general manager may--but is not obligated to--acquire any free agent without a waiver claim (see Section IV, Rule 1A). No other wrestler need be released in order to acquire a free agent.
1A. The general manager may take his wrestler off the Disabled List at any time. However, a wrestler cannot remain on the Disabled List once he or she has returned to active wrestling duty.
1B. When the disabled wrestler returns to active duty, his or her general manager must make one of two choices:
          a. The disabled wrestler may return to his or her team's active roster. When this occurs, the general manager must release a wrestler to the Free Agent List (see Section IV) if the general manager's roster currently has eighteen (18) wrestlers. (This released wrestler need not be the free agent acquired in place of the disabled wrestler.) If the roster has fewer than eighteen (18) wrestlers, the general manager need not release a wrestler in order to re-acquire the disabled wrestler. If the general manager already has a full roster (18 wrestlers) and does not decide which wrestler to add to the Free Agent List within the first forty-eight (48) hours of the disabled wrestler's reactivation, that disabled wrestler will be automatically added to the Free Agent List with a waiver claim placed on him or her.
          b. The general manager may place the disabled wrestler onto the Free Agent List, rather than re-acquiring him or her. A waiver claim will then be placed on that wrestler.

SECTION IV: Free Agency

1. All new WWE and TNA wrestlers will be added to the Free Agent List  (a list of all wrestlers who are active on the WWE and TNA rosters, but are not active on any WrestleLeague rosters).
1A. Each wrestler added to the Free Agent List will carry with him or her a "waiver claim" of forty-eight (48) hours. During this period, any general manager who is interested in obtaining that wrestler for his team may place a claim on the wrestler. At the end of the forty-eight (48) hours, the interested general manager with the least amount of points will acquire the wrestler. If all interested general managers have an equal amount of points, the general manager who earns the least amount of points at the next televised program will win the free agent. If at the next televised program multiple general managers earn equal points, thus equaling the least amount of points awarded, the remaining general managers must unanimously vote on which general manager will win the free agent.
          a. If the general manager who acquires the free agent already has eighteen (18) wrestlers on his roster, that general manager must trade one of his current wrestlers for the new wrestler. The traded wrestler will then be placed on the Free Agent List with a waiver claim placed on him or her.
          b. If the general manager who acquires the free agent has fewer than eighteen (18) wrestlers on his roster, that general manager need not release any wrestler who is currently on his roster.

2. If a WWE or TNA wrestler resigns, dies, or is terminated by WWE or TNA, that wrestler may be immediately taken off his or her WrestleLeague roster. In this situation, the general manager will choose any wrestler on the Free Agent List, or no wrestler will be added to the team.

3. Any wrestler who has been placed on the Free Agent List for forty-eight (48) hours or more without a waiver claim may be acquired by the first general manager to show interest in the acquisition.
3A. If the general manager currently has eighteen (18) wrestlers on his roster, that general manager must release a current wrestler off his roster. That wrestler will then be placed on the Free Agent List with a waiver claim placed on him or her.
3B. If the general manager currently has fewer than eighteen (18) wrestlers on his roster, he need not release a wrestler in order to acquire that free agent.

4. A general manager may place any amount of his team's wrestlers on the Free Agent List at any time without accepting another wrestler(s) in trade.

SECTION V: Points

Please see the "Points Per Win" list at the end of this section for a complete listing of the amount of points awarded for each type of win.

1. Prior to the start of the season, WrestleLeague's commissioners will be assigned a different program or pay-per-view(s) to follow throughout the entire season. Following each program, the commissioner assigned to it will tally all points and publish them on WrestleLeague's website (www.geocities.com/ecfantasywrestling) within two (2) days of the program's initial airing.

2. All wrestlers and general managers will start off with zero (0) points. Points for Season 5 will be assigned beginning with the September 2006 Unforgiven pay-per-view.

3. If a member of a tag team wrestles and wins in singles competition, he or she will be awarded the appropriate points, depending on the win. Both members of the team will not receive points.

4. The winner of a title match (regardless of type of win or whether the title changes hands) will be awarded the appropriate amount of points (based on type of win), plus one (1) extra point. For example, if a wrestler pins another wrestler in a title match, that wrestler will be awarded four (4) points (three points for the pin and a fourth point for the title match).

5. In the case of an elimination match (singles or tag team), each singles wrestler or tag team that earns a win will earn however many points are alotted for that type of win, whether or not the singles wrestler or tag team wins the entire match. That singles wrestler or tag team--not the entire elimination team--will earn the points.
5A. In the case of an elimination or gauntlet title match (singles or tag team), each wrestler or tag team that earns a win will be awarded however many points are alotted for that type of win, up until the final elimination, which will result in one (1) additional point to the winner or tag team.

6. In the case of a multiple falls match (e.g., two out of three falls wins or Iron Man Match), each wrestler who earns a fall will be awarded the amount of points allotted for that fall. Multiple falls will result in multiple sets of points.
6A. In the case of a multiple falls title match, each wrestler who earns a fall will be awarded the amount of points awarded for the type of fall, plus one (1) extra point per fall.

7. If any free agent accrues points while on the Free Agent List, those points will be recorded but not transferred to the total points accrued by the general manager who acquires that free agent.

8. All wrestlers placed on the Disabled List will keep all points accrued before their disabling.

9. If a wrestler currently on the Disabled List returns to action and accrues points before being reactivated from the Disabled List, those points will not transfer to that wrestler's team (if the wrestler is on a team).

10. Only the winner of a battle royal or Royal Rumble-style match will receive five (5) points. No other wrestler(s) involved in the match will earn points. (See Section V, Rule 12 for the exception in points awarded for the annual Royal Rumble match held at the
Royal Rumble pay-per-view.)

11. No points will be awarded in a "no contest," draw, or double disqualification.

12. All wins in all major WWE co-branded broadcasts, including
Saturday Night's Main Event and all pay-per-views (co-sponsored by Raw and SmackDown!), as well as TNA's pay-per-views Slammiversary and Bound for Glory,  will earn the wrestlers and general managers double points. For example, if one wrestler defeats another wrestler in a non-title match via pinfall, that wrestler and his or her general manager will earn six (6) points, rather than three (3) points. With this in mind, the winner of the annual Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view and his or her general manager will earn ten (10) points, rather than five (5). The four (4) major co-branded WWE pay-per-views are Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series.

13. According to the succeeding "Points Per Win" list, special matches are worth two (2) points. Although a Steel Cage Match is considered a special match, two (2) points will only be awarded if the winner wins by climbing over the top of the steel cage or going through the door. A pinfall or submission in a Steel Cage Match will result in three (3) points.

14. At the end of each season, the general manager(s) with the most points wins and becomes an immediate general manager for the succeeding season. That winner will also be awarded the number one draft pick for the succeeding season.

15.
Points Per Win
Pin: 3 points                 Submission: 3 points
Countout: 2 points
Knock Out/Last Man Standing: 3 points
Disqualification: 1 point
Draw: 0 points             No Contest: 0 points
Double Disqualification: 0 points
Special Matches (e.g., Ladder, TLC, Flag, First Blood, etc.): 2 points
Battle Royal/Royal Rumble: 5 points

SECTION VI: Trading

1. Trading for Season 5 will begin at 12am, September 18, 2006.

2. General managers may conduct all trades among themselves. When a trade is agreed upon, one of the commissioners must be informed and that commissioner must update the WrestleLeague website with the roster changes within two (2) days.

3. One wrestler on any given roster may be traded for multiple wrestlers on another roster (known as "multiple trading"), as long as each roster contains between one (1) and eighteen (18) wrestlers.
3A. When an equal amount of wrestlers is traded between teams, it will be called "even trading." (e.g., If one GM trades two wrestlers for another GM's two wrestlers.)
3B. When an unequal amount of wrestlers is traded between teams, it will be called "uneven trading." (e.g., If one GM trades one wrestler for another GM's two wrestlers.)

4. Once wrestlers are traded, they will not carry with them all of their accrued points to their new team. In this case, they will start with zero (0) points on the new team and the previous team's general manager will keep all points earned while that wrestler was a member of that team's roster.

5. If a general manager is aware of a show's results prior to that show's broadcast airing and makes a trade(s) in order to benefit from the results, it will be called "insider trading."
     5A. Insider trading shall be
against WrestleLeague policy.
5B. If a general manager has reason to believe that another general manager is guilty of insider trading, a full investigation with all other general managers will result.
5C. A two-thirds vote by all general managers not being investigated will determine the decision (guilty or innocent) and that decision is final.
5D. In the case that the accused is found guilty of insider trading, he will immediately lose ten (10) of his team's total points. Furthermore, the points accrued from the suspected trade will not be added to the general manager's total team score. The trade that lead to this investigation will remain final and the guilty general manager will keep the new wrestler.
