NOTE: During the first half of August, there are days that the Parakleisis of the Theotokos is chanted in Orthodox Churches.  The Parakleisis' will start on the 1st of August (in the evening), and will continue until the 13th of the month, excluding the 5th of the month (Vespers will be chanted that night for the Transfiguration) and on Saturdays and Sundays.  They are truly beautiful services.  Go ask your parish when you will have these services.
