This almanac / manual has all the necessary tables and also provides a set of instructions that takes you from a sextant sight to an actual position line. It will guide you through all the various stages regardless your inexperience, lack of practice or tiredness.
Included are examples for the use of the tables and plotting of the sextant sight's.
Sight reduction tables can be used if prefered, but the manual has guiding instructions for the use of a casio fx82TL or MS scientific calculator, as used in schools.
They are cheap and have a degree to decimal conversion key and eliminate the need for sight reduction tables. Using the calculator is easier, quicker and more accurate..

Originated as a safety measure, the idea is to enable an inexperience crew find their positon at sea, even if the regular navigator is disabled.
However it is acknowledged thet the manual is also handier for an expert.

Easy Nav may be used in NZ as a celestial navigation almanac for yachts going overseas
Ability to use it is required.
