Meet
Gregg Groff
Gregg currently is the owner of 3 vintage GM vans.  He is currently driving a 1970 GMC 90" wheelbase no-door, powered by a 6 cyl. / powerglide.   Pretty rare !  One of about 20 built as far as he can tell bvut is still looking to verify the numbers.   Fairly stock in most areas,  Gregg purchased this van for $1500 about 6 months ago and has plans to add a small block chevy in the near future.  It also has had a sunroof installed in one point in its life and Gregg id seriously considering removing it and rewelding the roof solid once again.
Gregg's second van is a 1969 108" wheelbase.  It also has a 6 cly. for power and is in pretty good shape and although the plans for this one seem to change from time to time,  he will surely keep it.  Motor not running and a lot of things missing,  but the body is in nice enough shape to definetly consider piecing it back together.  It had been sitting in a field for about 20 years,  claims Gregg,  when he got to it.  Still looks fairly solid for that kind of treatment.
Gregg's third van is a 1968 108" wheelbase mild custom.  Currently powered by a 1974 Chevelle 350,  Gregg has owned this van since 1979 except for a brief period in 1988 and sometimes describes his 68' as the most unreliable,  frustrating piece of **** that he's ever encountered.  Adding the 350  improved on that and elevated it to " daily driver " status.  Last on the road in 1997,  Gregg decided it was time to put it away for a while,  go thru the body and get it back into pristine shape.  Partway into the resto,  Gregg found some sreious rot across the whole top of the window pinch weld and higher and things came to a standstill till the right parts or patch could be located.  Well,  that changed 6 months ago when he purchased the 70' no-door because inside the no-door were a s**tload of spare parts.  The best was a whole top window channel in great shape.  A piece big enough to get exactly what Gregg was looking for as the patch he needed.  Talk about lucky !  Also with the 70' were a few spare doors,  a front clip, ( rough in some areas but nice in the right ones ),  and other misc. parts.
