| MEDALS The Club have an impressive medal-winning history: in the ten seasons between 1990 & 2000 the Club's total medal haul was been 292: 102 gold, 118 silver and 72 bronze! (with only an average of 5 competitions per season) In the 2000-1 Season the club won 69 medals: 27 gold, 20 silver and 22 bronze. More than half the "routines" competing won medals (60% to be exact). The 2001-2002 season didn't bring quite so much as we only competed in just over half the amount of competitions. Altogether the club's gymnasts won 35 medals: 10 gold, 12 silver, 13 bronze in just six competitions, only one of which was "full squad". The 2002-2003 season was more successful - again competing in just six competitions - the gymnasts brought home 50 medals: 26 gold, 9 silver and 15 bronze The 2003-2004 season was another good season - there were a couple more competitions but with far less competing in each - This season saw 28 gold, 13 silver and 12 bronze medals won: 53 in all. The 2004-2005 season wrought 37 medals: 16 gold, 13 silver and 8 bronze in just four competitions. So far the 2005-2006 season was another good one: 35 medals (7 gold, 15 silver & 13 bronze) in six competitions |

14 COUNTY CHAMPIONS The Club have only been entering Kent County competitons for two years: December 1999 and 2000. In 1999 only four pairs were entered: two won County titles and another bagged silvers In 2000 ten pairs entered in six classes: five pairs won their classes and two others won medals. We did not enter in 2001 so our ten champions had to relinquish their titles without a fight: see results page & the County did not arrange any sports acro competitions in 2002 so there were no County championships last year for us but, going by the Swifts Invitational - and the Hollington Invitational - we would have had County Champs again in Billy-Joe/Charlotte, Adam/Kane and Liz/Jenna (who were streets ahead of the other two Kent pairs on their level).. |
