We are blessed EWU to have the Reading Council, as it is the only one on a collage campus in our state. Our council is authorized by the International Reading Association (IRA) and is part of the Washington Organization for Reading Development (WORD). The Eastern Reading Council (ERC) provides opportunities for teachers-to-be to share share their zest for reading and children. Through our book fairs you can purchase excellent books to start your own library of children's books. Our meeting and events provide a social opportunity for you to get to know your colleagues and professors and to provide a service for children.
