The purpose of this website
The purpose of the new website is to expand the business from visitors to the physical location to visitors
to the website. The business will extend their service to any customer throughout the world that has
a shipping service available.
Each web page has consistent colors and layout. This is intended to keep the website calming and stress-free
for those visitors that may not be as tech-savvy as millennials. The colors were also selected for their calming ability.
I chose a lighter color background so that the black font was a high contrast so it would be easy to read.
Each page has a specific purpose that can provide information to both interested customers as well as curious
browser. The video of someone using a longarm machine will show a curious browser the process of quilting.
The contact information is at the bottom of each page as well as on the Contact page to encourage visitors to
contact the business and place an order.
The future of this website
A form will be added to allow the visitor to enter the size of their quilt and the services selected.
A calculator will be added to calculate the total cost of the services selected for the size of the quilt entered.
A checkout page will be added that will take the customer’s payment and will send the customer an email
with order confirmation and shipping information.
Customer reviews will be available on the About Us page.
