on Daily Instrument Care
a. Check all tuning slides for smooth operations, lubricate valves with valve oil and Trombone slides with slide oil or slide cream
b. Wipe off outside of instrument with a soft cloth after each use
c. Empty all excess water from horn before putting it away in case
d. Do NOT put any music books or folders inside the case as most instrument cases are designed to fit the instrument only
SAXOPHONE DAILY MAINTENANCE TIPS:
a. Check neck cork and lubricate with cork grease as necessary
b. Remove reed from mouthpiece
c. Swab instrument thoroughly and wipe off outside with a soft cloth before putting it away
d. Disassemble all parts before putting away
e. Do NOT put any music books or folders in your case as it will bend the keys
FLUTE DAILY MAINTENANCE TIPS:
a. Apply small amount of cork grease to each connecting tenon and then wipe off before assembling flute
b. Wipe off outside of instrument after each use
c. Dry the inside of the instrument with a small strip of cloth and cleaning rod after each use
d. Do NOT put anything else in the flute case besides the flute itself
CLARINET DAILY MAINTENANCE TIPS:
a. Check all cork joints and lubricate with cork grease as necessary
b. Remove reed from mouthpiece, swab instrument thoroughly and wipe off outside with a soft cloth after each use
c. Disassemble all parts before putting away
d. Do NOT put any music books or folders in clarinet case as it will bend and break the keys on your instrument.
