Lex: (a shortened form of Alexander: Helper; loyal)
Lex is the tribe's very own 'lion' - with strength, beauty and pride. Battling with Bray to be fully leader of the tribe.
Lex has the best scenes! He shows depth and character often reserved or covered by his bad bot image. And lately in series3 we've all noticed his overuse of the term 'Fruitcake'. Lex has always used his physical strength to get what he wants, he see's the outcome of a fight as a solution for everything and is often in conflict or argument with Bray and Amber. But sticks together with Ebony on certain subjects against the others. Lex first came to the mall with Zandra and Ryan after trying to become a loco but then grabbing the food back and leaving Glenn caught by the loco's. Lex and the others we're locked in the barracates while the other mall rats went over their options: They could let them stay, or turn them out risking them telling the locos of their hideouts as revenge. They were allowed to stay under the mall rats terms, Lex came up with the name 'The Mall Rats' and was elected first leader, making all the girls do the housework and the boys warrior training. Lex was the first to try and get rid of Bray, especially when he brought a heavily pregnant Trudy to the mall. Lex was the one who pushed Zoot off the balcony killing him. Lex had a brief fling with Ebony in the cage which she used to escape. Lex had an affair with Tai-San after being with Zandra, Zandra made him dump her to consentrate on their relationship. Lex and Zandra got married, Lex then got the virus and left the mall rats, he returned with the locos to save the mall rats from Tribe Circus. Lex was taken prisioner by Ebony along with Bray, Lex destroyed the antidote to get back at Ebony and left. He returned to the mall and got back together with Zandra and found out she was pregnant. Lex was the one pursuing Eagle mt, but he lost his wife, Zandra, and their onborn child in the explosion which also was thought to have killed Amber. Lex turned to alcohol when Zandra died. He nearly raped Salene because of it, Alice always had a crush on him and Lex was really uneasy about telling her about his relationship with Tai-San and hurting her. Lex and Tai-San then got married. Lex is a strong survivour who knows how to win, he is occasionally the voice of reason but a very strong and admirable character.
Lex is played by Caleb Ross:
Caleb: "Lex has always kinda been the bad character, he's always been the bully, the one that pushes everyone else around. He's done alot of bad things and often manipulating people to get his own way."

As a member of Whangeri Amateur Opera and Dramatics Society he has had a variety of stage experiences including roles in: Evita, Godspell and Peter Pan.
Caleb played the part of Brett in the New Zealand feature film 'Avondale Dogs'.
He has had two appearences in Xena as 'Temecula' and Logan Patterson in 'Shortland Street'. Caleb has had roles in Hercules and Plainclothes.
