The EA's main rival was of course the VN Holden Commodore. It featured an all new Buick 3.8 litre multipoint V6 with 125 kW of power, it could not match the performance of the Ford 3.9 litre multipoint Inline 6. Although I will not lie it could probably whip the ass of a CFI, that's why it is very important you pay a tiny bit more and get the Ford MPI.

Anyway back to the Commo, the 3.8 engine was not known for lasting as long as the EA's 3.9 MPI, this is why the EA's were chosen as taxi's.
The base VN weighed in at 1311 Kg and had a diff ratio of 3.08 (compared to the EA's 1500Kg, 2.77, auto and 2.92, manual) which helped it accelerate reasonably quick.

More to come soon...
Quite ugly isn't it?
