| Falcon's represent very good value for money on the market, for instance if you wanted a reasonably luxorious car with a bit of grunt (and only have $2,000 - $3,000 to spend) why not get an EA Fairmont Ghia. These had factory MPFI engines and came with factory auto. Have a look in your local paper for prices in your area, if buying private I would highly reccommend an RAC check or similar. Also you can check AutoTrader to get an idea of what your dollar is worth in your area. I do not own a Falcon, but I'm currently saving for an EB2. I hope to be buying in November 2002, I'll probably have about $3,000 to spend. I will most likely end up with a 4 Speed Auto due to 5 Speed Manual's being very rare. I'm not really fussed on which model I get, a GLi would be fine. BOF has inspired me to get an EB2, he is a very nice bloke who is going to help me in my search for an EB2. BOF has owned two EA's an ED Ex-Pursuit and a EB2 XR8 which he currently owns. He says that EA's are great cars but recommends an EB2 due to being more refined and having the 4 Litre donk in her. Even though EB2's have a higher market level than EA's, BOF persists that I should find one in my price range (up to $3,000) with no worries as it is a buyers market. Watch out for BOF's XR8 as it will soon be featuring on this website. I will be searching Perth for the car that awaits me, we will most likely be visiting a few auctions and probably be checking out a few cars from the Quokka or Sunday Times etc. |
