Erik is currently working on the track for Fiona Kernaghan's CD... then it will be back to work on his own solo CD inbetween doing gigs ...
The CD is titled "Feeling Fiona" and the track is "Human Radio" and is scheduled to be released April/May (all going well of course). Stay tuned for information on where you will be able to purchase this CD ... (as well as Erik's long awaited own solo CD of course)

Monday 12th January 2004
Art work for the cover of the CD is almost finished. Erik asked me my personal opinion on the music, is there something that should be changed....etc. Ah nope! ... I asked him IF he wanted to re-record any of it, would he have to go to a recording studio, probably in Sydney to do it? He said "No, I've done it all at home, I have all the equipment" So, yes this is totally all Erik's work, he did it all from go to woh. Everything that you hear played is Erik playing, all the instruments, songwriting, producing, everything, all of it .... Even the art work when it is finished and the printing and the pressing of the CDs will be done by Erik himself. Talented man!!! :)
(This CD that Erik recorded himself, over the past 2 years ago - his own music, is in fact the same one that "they" wanted to release under the name 1927. Personally I think after hearing the CD I am glad they didnt release it as a 1927 CD, cos I don't see it as a 1927 CD at all, it does not sound like 1927, its music for the current era. And I am not the only one to think that, a couple of other fans have said that to me, also. IT IS ERIK WEIDEMAN in the new millennium)
Late Edition: Erik will also be recording a song of Fiona Kernaghans (Lee & Tanya's sister). A CD is in the making of Fiona's songs being covered by other artists (sorry, I forgot to mention this before, I really should write all this down! Doh! LOL)

I asked Erik his honest opinion on the site I had done so far, should I change or delete or modify anything ... His response "love the stuff!". Hmmm he's too easy to please! LOL Erik let me know what gigs he has lined up for January, and possibly February (see Gigs page). He also mentioned "Working on some new tracks as we speak." ...

What a lovely Xmas pressie - my first hearing of Erik's CD. WOW - I was blown away, to say the least. Not what I expected, but that is not a bad thing. Naturally as soon as I finished listening to it, I had to tell Erik "you must sell this, you really should, you just gotta... blah blah blah". :) Um, yeah, I am a bit excited! :) You can hear snippets of the songs.

Week ending 14th December 2003
I mentioned to Erik that I was keen to start a separate web site on just him, apart and away and separate to 1927. Erik immediately 'jumped' and said he wants to work with me on it..... That would be excellent, seeing I dont have a real lot at the moment. And I added that I think that snippets of his own music should be on it, so people can hear what you sing now and in some small way I want to help promote his CD. I know a couple of people who are interested in buying his CD ...

Sunday 7th December 2003
Some friends and I went to see Erik perform his regular gig. One of the first things Erik told me that day was that he has decided not to pursue the 1927 revival. It seems those lucky Perth people who attended the gig(s) last weekend experienced the last appearance of 1927. ...
So, although we may not see 1927 the band perform again, we will still be able to see Erik perform his own gigs around South East Queensland. :)
I did say to Erik its a shame that we wouldnt be able to hear a new CD, now. To which Erik replied by saying, "IF people are interested, I could sell my own CDs at my gigs or through your web site."
So, if anyone wants to express an interest in hearing new music, please let me know and I can put orders in! :)
