A: Erik has written his name like that for a couple of years now, that I know of - it may have been longer? His business card** also has his name spelt Erik Weideman, the CD** he gave me and his art work** are all signed and marked Erik.. I did ask Erik once why the change, but I cant for the life of me remember what he said in response, Doh! As for the site name, well, I thought it appropriate, also, to have a different and separate web site. The 'Erik' of now is not the same 'Eric' that was the lead singer of 1927 in the 80s and 90s... That was then, this is now! |

| ______________________________________________________________________ Q: Why the Paisley background? A: Well, that is my personal taste. Plus a lot about that particular pattern reminds me of Erik. No. 1 - a line from one of his songs, Dreamstate - "all love and paisley..." No. 2 - the paisley pattern if you use your spatial ability, looks like an 'e' No. 3 - paisley to me represents 'free, calming, laid back, ... etc'. Again, things that remind me of Erik. And No. 4 - I just spotted paisley on a bandanna that Erik is wearing in the press article from 10/1/04 I have uploaded earlier to The Band 1927 site titled "What happened next" - and Erik said that this photo is an old one, from about early 2003. Hmmm I guess Erik might like paisley too? Ive seen a couple of Erik's paisley bandannas now. ______________________________________________________________________ Q: Who do we contact to see if we can book Erik for a gig in our area? A: At the moment, Erik is happy playing around South East Qld and Northern NSW. But you could try Pushworth, see the Gigs Page. Their web site gives you the opportunity to fill in the details and you never know what might happen. ______________________________________________________________________ Q: How do we get a hold of Erik's music? A: Erik is putting the finishing touches to at least a 10 track CD. Check the News & Updates page for current news on the situation.
