| December 2001, I heard about a group called Emerson Drive. They were going to play with Toby Keith at a concert where I lived. My Mom told me about this group, but I didn't know who they were. I asked her many times to show me a picture or play a song because I just had to know. She found a site made by someone named Joanne. On there, I saw a picture of this guy. I told my mom, "wow he looks hot. I really want to meet him." Then in April 2002, my mom took me to the concert to see them play. That night was one of the best nights of my life. Before the show, we were standing out back of the arena because my step dad was part of security for the show. When we were standing there Brad came out. He came over and talked to us all for a little bit and even took pictures. He was the nicest guy. He put a smile on my face that night. It was one of the first times in the last year I had really smiled because I had lost both of my grandparents the year before. My life hadn't been the same after they past away. Brad doesn't know but he gave me something that I can never thank him enough for. Like my mom says, the smile that I lost. |
