"September" Letters To The Editors
If Emerson Drive was to remake any single previously recorded by another artist or group.... what would it be and why?
I would love to hear the guys record "Desperado" by the Eagles. I think Brad would do an amazing job on it! ~Lisa Mansfield~ (Chellee's Mom)
I would have to say "Devil went down to Georgia" I have yet to see them perform this but everyone who has guarantees that I will love it.....mind you any song that they would choose to remake would be FANTASTIC! ~Denise~
The Song I would love the guys to remake would be the Devil Went Down To Georiga !! the guys kick some serious butt with this song live and its one of my favorite songs they do live! ~Lisa~
I think you know I would have to say Devil Went Down To Georgia!!!!!! They ALL rock so much on that song. ~Brenda~
Since this was going be for the December issue of Ezine, I almost submitted Joni Mitchell's "River" which would give Brad and the band a small holiday challange, ya know: "Its comming on Christmas, their cutting down tree's Etc." Joni's "Come in From the Cold" also made the list. After considering just a group of slower songs, leaving the Guys to pick the rockers, I decided on a Lucinda Williams song: "Little Angel - Little Brother" for the submit. I gave a lot of consideration to a song written by Jude Johnstone and made a hit by Trishia Yearwood that being "Hearts in Armor" and I also had to let two songs co-written and sung by Vince Gill pass, those being "Under These Conditions" and "I Still Believe in You" and this all is just for starters! "You Can Sleep While I Drive" by Milissa Etheridge and the song "Constant Craving" done and co-written by k. d. lang got my quest for a pick started. Emerson Drive has a lot of talent and could do a heck of a job on a lot of songs! ~John~
I would have to say "I'll Be" Brad sings it so beautifully at their shows! ~Sara~
Without a shadow of a doubt, Devil Went Down to Georgia, they sounded wicked in high school, they sound KICK @$$ now!!! ~Joanne~
As much as I absolutly love when they do Devil Went Down to Georgia, I think my pick is going to be "I'LL Be". There are just no words to describe how amazing Brad sounds when he sings that song ~Dawn~
I would personally love to see Emerson Drive remake "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain. Brad's voice is truly amazing and there is no words to describe what prefect harmony they share. I have seen them do this song live and each and every time tears come to my eyes and chills run up my spine. It is truly AMAZING! ~Tina~
I would like to see Emerson Drive remake "Small Towns and Big Dreams" by Paul Brandt. Since these guys come from Canada and have shared one dream, I believe this song would completely hit home for many of the Emerson Drive families, friends and fans as well as the guys themselves. I know they would do a great job. ~Angel~
I would absolutely love to see Emerson Drive remake "Fiddle In The Band" by Alabama. They do such an amazing job of the song in their shows! And since a lot of people are comparing them to Alabama I think it would be great to have one of their songs on an Emerson Drive album!! ~Kristina~
