I took today off work to finish some this work and get the hall carpet up.

1st I had to go for some supplies and groceries.  Off to Wal-Mart.  As I was coming down Mickey Inn Lane towards the house I noticed a FOX43 News truck looking lost so I stopped and ask them if I could help.  They were responding to Jerry Flashers press release about the damage caused by the flooding.  I told them to follow me to my house and I would see if I could get in touch with anyone in the park for them.  They decided to interview myself and the neighbors.  Since I am a Commonwealth Employee I was worried about the implications.  The Commission I work for is weird and all I need is to get in more trouble.  (My Boss is great though.) I got my daughter Lauren to give the tour and give the interview.  She then took them over to Camp Abrahams.

Another phone call from Jerry that the Commonwealth Building Inspectors are coming through.  One more set of folks through the house.  SIGH.

Lauren heard from Sara that the Red Cross had set up a needs assessment point at the Park Office and was handing out vouchers and that there was a 2 hour wait. I called Jerry to ask why they werent going door to door like he told us they would.  He handed the phone to a lady from the Red Cross who told me that they had changed the way they were handling the problem.  I stated that I would not be able to get there in time today and tomorrow they closed before I would get there.  She stated that someone would wait there until I got back at 6 pm.

Our dryer has stopped working and we are in desperate need of Laundry.  Off to the Laundry mat Kate and I went.  What fun.  Almost $50 to do 7 loads of laundry, the change machine only took ones, we had to go over to the car wash to get quarters.  I miss my dryer.  Gary brought dinner off the Red Cross wagon, Ravioli.

Finally got everything but the kitchen done.   No pictures today.  No time.
