| KWC. Not the greatest manufacturer in the world.. often mistaken for...KSC. a slightly better one. I bought this pistol for a bargain basement price of 20 at a local market. the proof was in the gun however, as i had bought 2 substandard springers that day with some left over cash in my wallet. Testing insued. The KWC M92FS "Super Black" looks ok, despite the lack of trademarks. No where on the box does it actually say beretta. but then to me.. that doesnt matter. much. Firstly the gun has no hop up. making it sound like each shot is a dry fire, compared to other guns. Power wise..i have no idea what it is in Feet Per Second..its fairly low. range is pathetic and without the hop up, wind affects the shot BAD, a slight side breeze and the BB will 50% of the time smack down into the floor. For some reason, during back garden games.. people choose the beretta over my sig [see other review]. |
| Build quality is almost 100% ABS plastic. only a few internals such as the barrel, pins and spring are metal (note the gun can be field stripped in seconds by removing a small take down pin). also, the weighting in the grip rattles.. so this was when i first took the gun apart. The weight is just a lump of steel sitting in the back of the grip. A piece of plasticine rectified this and the rattle disappeared . One thing the gun lacks, apart from Hop-Up.. is a chamber. This ruins the realism a bit, due to the slide being one solid piece of plastic without any kind of shell release door. Despite these bad points, the gun has had its moments.. Destroying an after-shave bottle in one shot, getting 3 forehead shots in succession, and successful sniping despite its lack of any hop. For 20 i guess the gun is ok. Its light (350g) and has some small design quirks such as rubberised grip plates. the shiny plastic cheapens it though. (Glad i didnt buy the silver version). All in all if you have 20 to blow.. and dont want to buy ammo.. then Buy a cheap springer. the good side is that you can use them for tuning practive as many do. If you wish to use it in the field then ok.. but be prepared that, unless the other side has a cheap springer, you arent going too succeed to quickly. - Dan |
