Being a guide on Lake Ray Roberts has given me much pleasure.  It is a thrill to see the expressions on folks faces when a big yellowcat surfaces. Then there is another thrill when it is finally in the boat.  Trotline fishing requires a certain technique to keep from losing the fish.  I have played fish for an hour before it was ready to give up, and getting a big one in will only happen when the fish is ready.  Trotling may not sound as exciting as pole fishing, but believe me it is.  That is why I don't even carry a rod with me anymore.

Catching fish like these is what it's all about!

If you have ever wrestled a big yellow on a trotline, then you know the feeling you get when he is finally in the boat. It is not a simple matter of reeling him in. I have enjoyed this type of fishing for many years. Of all the types: bass, crappie, even deep sea, this is the one that gives me the biggest thrill.

I hope you enjoy this site. I will be adding to it occasionally, so ya'll come back!
