When Final Fantasy VII was released, it sent shockwaves all over the world. It was an instant top seller in both the U.S. and Japan and many people claim it is one of the best in the series. If the tantalizing music won't get you, the outstanding graphics will. It is also the first Final Fantasy game to ever be released on the PlayStation console, made possible by one of the best in the business of RPGs, Square. This won't be the last RPG Square makes for the PlayStation.
As the story goes, a huge organization called the Shinra plans to rule the world with their Mako reactors. The story centers on Cloud Strife, a mercenary for hire and former SOLDIER. Seeing that the Shinra uses unsatisfactory means of ruling the universe, Cloud and a band of rebels team up in an attempt to halt Shinra's underlying ambition. Will they succeed or will the Shinra rule the world under its iron fist? Only you can decide.
