Fastest

The fastest car in production for over 10 years was the Mclaren F1. Nothing could beat it. It went from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and had a top speed of 248mph. It was a triumph in supercar history. Many manufactures like Toyota and Ferrari tried, but all failed.

That has now however all changed. As in 2001 German manufacture Buggati proposed to make a new supercar, doing 0-60 in under 3 seconds, and have a top speed of 250 mph. These plans were laughed at by critics, and they were right to. Between 2001-2003 the concept brought the company to its knees. It seemed inpossible to fufil the original promises made. Containing the proposed 1000bhp was going to be a very teedious task, as the early prototype crashed, and another spun out of control at a public demonstration.

Then, inlate 2003 Thomas Bscher took over as president of Buggati. Under his wing, Buggati managed to complete the project, and even improve on the original proposals. They this did by supercharging the engine, then combining two V8 engines to form a W16. The results were perfect, the car could now go into production

Today the Veyron is the fastest car. It does 0-60 in 2.5 seconds, and has a top speed of 252 mph. It took alot of work, but Bugati proved the crtics wrong. It will take a miricle to beat the Veyron
