Poems #2
These poems range in time from about 1986 till present.....I have tried to preserve them in chronological order.
Wounds inside
Pain so deep
Scars inside
Pain asleep
Wounds will heal
Scars still there
Scars will fade
Forget dispair
I look at you, I drown
You look through me, you smile
My soul quakes, I awake
My soul dies, you leave
Winters call, in the dark
Shadows fall, upon my heart
Once there was a girl
Shining and new
Someone took a knife
and shoved it through
Sometimes I feel so alone
Won't let anyone near
Because I am too afraid
They won't like what's in here
Windows in my soul
Shadows on my face
Sunlight in my passion
Warmth in my embrace
Two friends, together for life
I breathe in, you breathe out
Winds whisper through the leaves
Winds of life
Winds of need
Blow so strongly through my soul
Change my lfe
Leave me whole
Life we create
Life we destroy
Feel the need
Fill the hole
Blood on my hands
Sinking in
I kill the pain
Forgive this sin
Wheels of fire, spinning round
Wheels of fire while I drown
Where you going, when you leave?
You don't love me, I percieve
My only friend, my only love
Why'd you leave me in the dust?
I'm so lonely without you here
It's only life that I fear
Cancer burns, deep inside
Far away from prying eyes
Destroy my soul as it goes
Rip me open, watch it grow
Beautiful face
Hides inside
Far away
From prying eyes
Damaged soul
Laying there
Sufficating
Wanting air
Lifeless eyes
Never see
what this pain
Has done to me
His shadow silk slid down my arms
Brushed my face with soft soft charms
Fingers twined and tangled there
Dancing through his long black hair
~this one was later finished as "Armand's Kiss"~
Sunshine
~this one was written for my cat, Sunshine~
Happy kitten, pounce on toes
Bravely battling unkown foes,
Cocky tom, king of street
Fighting foes for fierce then feet,
Bowlegged cat, content and feed
Lazily draped on Dian's head,
Dying Sunshine, end is near
Bravely facing down the fear,
Happy years have come and gone
17 years you ruled our home,
Fondest memories we'll always have
In our hearts, we love you back
