The Medieval Steel Web-site has been established in order to display a personal art and design project born from the over-wrought imagination of Daniel C. Blancey -- fantasy artist, graphic designer, digital illustrator, web-master, student-slacker, Medieval Scholar, Gamer, and security-guard extraordinaire. Specifically, this art and design project concerns a personal and comprehensive Fantasy Gaming System under the same name that is currently undergoing a process of strenuous production. The actual project is only being produced "for the fun of it" during off moments away from school or other concerns and doesn't aspire in any way to be a proper commercial venture. In all truth, this "art and design" project is nothing more than a practical exercise involving various creative endeavors that have grown somewhat complementary to the author's personal interests or within his related educational/career goals in graphic design and digital illustration.
Ultimately, this website is really only a practical exercise in wannabe web-mastering and will be used to display all of the author's various creative and artistic endeavors that are being funneled into this stupid Gaming System project. The overall basic concept of this web-site is to provide a "behind the scenes" look at the production of this little personal gaming/design/art/personal-interest project as it develops over the coming months and years. Random and experimental content detailing the progress of this art-design project (what the author quite frequently refers to as his little pet monster) will be posted (also at random) about the site as the work slowly and painfully progresses.
As the project is overall oriented as an educational exercise in Graphic Design and Digital Illustration, the emphasis of the site will be found on the Book Illustrations and Book Graphics pages. The Book list on the Gaming System page will reveal the current progress of the related works within the entire Gaming System that have acheived some appreciable level of completion. Links to the specific pages of conern to that volume of work will also be included, when available. This book list should be updated with some frequency (like once or twice a year).
