I'm slightly confident I'll have the core of the Character Generation system worked-out in a couple more months; for a few days this week, that was in serious doubt -- I'd ran into a major stumbling block with the whole system of Temptations and Indulgences. That one idea had thrown a serious monkey wrench into the whole system as originally visioned. After a couple days of meaningful rest and sleep, the solution just jumped-out and <BAM!> slapped me full in the face...so simple and obvious, I had completely missed the solution. Damn Trees hiding the Forest, fer cryin' out loud!
I'm signed up for the final class at TMCC this semester... So I'll be taking two classes. One there and the other at AI. I should be plenty busy ignoring them while I work on this damanble Gaming System.
The Drawing/Illustrating have really suffered...just not enough hours in the day...and the Job and Schoolwork interfere so much...I really need to reassess the priorities...the recently re-acquired interest int he Fantasy Gaming hobby or real-world concerns...I'm thinking the real-world concerns will have to suffer...but that won't really change anything.
By the beginning of the new year, I should be brave enought to begin posting some of the graphics. I've been hesitant as I don't want to disclose them too soon, and none of them are exactly complete yet. But I need more content to decorate the site....
Geocities will close October 26 and I've already begun appraising some new sites. I don't think I've enough content to warrant a paid site...so I'll be going with a free site. I'm planning on a site ove- haul for the interceeding period...I need to get some sort of coherent organizatino for all the files...I've got the core of a new naming system, but I've been reluctant to fully update to that system as it would require another overhaul of the Geocities site...and trying to update that site by hand is more trouble than it is worth...so I procrastinated (my one real talent) on doing it again...but this opportunity is a perfect moment to get the site into shape.
Hence, this is likely to be the last geocities update until October...at which point I should have a new site...I dunno where at the moment...
but the next site change is likely to be a major new one...I'm gonna get some stuff together in the next couple of months...I've been getting a handle on Javascript (AGAIN!) and the Actionscript and should begin to add some content...provided I find the time to experiment some more...I'll more than likely be including the new Page banners (they be ANIMATED...yee-hah!).
