Project Maude - Free Rations Distribution

Project Maude is a project to reach out to the residents at Maude Road which consists of mainly low income families. Free rations are distributed to them at a quarterly basis during Chinese New Year, Vesak Day, Mid Autumn Festival and Winter Solstice. We hope to lend a hand to meet their daily needs and at the same time spread the festive joy to them.

New Year Dinner - Henderson Estate Old Folks

Being a relatively new arm at TCCL, our first project was for the old folks of Henderson Estate who live on their own in one-room flats. A New Year party was organised for them by our youth group in Dec 2006 to celebrate the New Year. More than 150 old folks were invited for this New Year Celebration. We will be going back to them every year and celebrate this happy occasion with them.

Vesak Day Youth Project

DH’s Youth Group has set up a refreshment stall during Vesak Day 2006 to sell drinks and ice creams to raise funds for the Children Cancer Foundation (CCF). The youths also taught some children to make key chains and mobile phone accessories to sell on this day. The sales of these items were all donated to CCF. This project is run by our youth group of DH and we will nominate a beneficiary every year and raise funds for them.

Free TCM Clinic

On the 1st and 15th Day of the lunar month between 1 - 3pm, Divine Hearts organises a free Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic for the residents from low income families and elderly of Maude Road, French Road and King George Road. It is hope that this service will benefit them directly and provide them with an alternative health care.

Sports Day!

To bring our volunteers together, DH organizes sports session every Monday night at NUS (Dunearn Rd). We practice healthy living together by taking part in jogging, basketball or badminton activities and also take the opportunity to interact with each other. (Please check calendar for latest update on sport activities.)

Hantu Ride

“Hantu Ride” is held quarterly. This is a night cycling event which brings participants to the "spookiest" places of Singapre. Besides being a healthy event for all, each ride is themed with a topic to get participants to reflect on themselves. This activity also aims to bring our volunteers together and to get to know more people as well.

Healing with Nature

Tired? Stressed up? Join us for a healing session at the great outdoors! Take a walk through the woods and enjoy the nature around. We will be doing group Reiki and walking meditation during the session. Come join us for a rejuvenating morning. :)

3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

We hope to organise this event to gather youths of different backgrounds together. And at the same time to contribute to a good cause as part of the funds goes to the fund raising efforts of Divine Hearts' outreach activities.

Children's Camp

This project is to be organised by our youth group for children aged 7 – 12 years old. It is hope to engage the youths and also for them to pick up organisation and communication skills in the process of organising this event. We also hope to introduce the concepts of caring and sharing to the children through this event.
