| Not too long ago a neighbor reported that zebras had moved into the house across the street from me. Now I thought that was interesting. For weeks I stood outside waiting to get a glimpse of the Zebras, but I fear that my neighbor must have been mistaken. Though they have a dog, some mix bred dog of undetermined gender, I have yet to see the zebras. Now across the street from me is city land, I checked into the zoning and though they are allowed pets, Zebras are not considered pet material, neither are horses for that matter. They seem like a nice family, mom, dad, three kids, two boys and a younger "toddler" girl. I have been reluctant to come right out and ask if they do have a zebra since I really don't want to look foolish. So I returned to my neighbor, "Where are the zebras? You know I have stood watching for a couple of weeks now to get a glimpse, where do they live?" My neighbor pointed at the house across the street, "In that house." Then it finally dawned on me why I hadn't seen any Zebras, they lived indoors! It made perfect sense when you consider that horses are not zoned in that area, so my neighbors keep their Zebras indoors. Must be a big mess and a big pain, I mean can you imagine cleaning up after a couple of horses? My neighbor says that there are five Zebras living in that house. Wow, that's a lot of horse flesh there. I have been thinking about it and since we have two acres and are in the county (through right across the street) I was thinking of offering to board my neighbors Zebras. Think I should offer, and if so how much a month should I ask for? Thanks. |
