| ' MORE LAWS: It s getting to the point where just about everyone is breaking the law, you can get arrested for any number of things and not even know you are breaking the law! Is this due to your being a criminal mind? No this is due to there being more and more and more laws. Take the War on Drugs (Please, its so stupid) A form of Prohibition which didn't work when it came to Alcohol in the early 20th century, what makes us think it will work with drugs in the early 21st century? The fact is that a person in possession of one dose of "illegal" drugs can be and most often will be arrested, trialed and sentenced to a felony charge. Prison over population is not because of rapists, thieves, murderers, bank robbers - most are in there for drug related crimes which in many instances are minor and have no victims. There are a couple of generations of Ex-felons whose crime was being addicted to an "illegal" substance. Instead of dealing with drug abuse as an illness (which it is) we penalize and criminally charge the person treating them as a criminal, not as a sick person. Let's pray that we never take that path when it comes to other illnesses and diseases. The Ex-felon is a second class citizen and is treated as such by Law. They are stripped of their rights and civil liberties and must sue to get the right to vote again. Though they served their time in prison they will forever be a second class citizen. This is great if you are seeking to make America into a Dictatorship, all you need to do is make more felony laws and get everyone arrested at least once, strip them of their rights and then there is no opposition and no vote. You may believe that this is not a problem and that it is easily solved by Not Breaking the Law. However if there are more laws, and you are not even aware of them, how do you know when you are not breaking the law? Which brings us to the Patriot Act. That teeny, tiny number of cases just expanded dramatically. What it does: Secret searches can now be authorized by a secret court without public knowledge or Department of Justice accountability, so long as the government can allege there is any foreign intelligence basis for the search. Considering that the Civil War did not cause a postponement of Presidential Elections, then why should terrorists be allowed too? With what we know so far we may conclude that the Terrorist Threat is not what the Official Story is and may, very possibly, be a tool that is being used by this Administration to subject the American people to accept a de facto Dictatorship. |
