| 4. Rule passion, faith, tradition, and all things with tempered reason. A summation of the language issue before, with the addition to include this in our passions, faiths and traditions. No where in this tenant does it tell us to remove or change our faiths, no where does it suggest that we forget our heritage and our traditions. It only asks that we temper these with reason. The language used to write this guide is purposefully left generic. It is clear by the guides that it was the intent to not promote one culture, faith, tradition, race, etc of humanity as being better than any other or more preferable. It is key to understanding this and the other guides. So it is that this guide is interpreted to be against Christianity, out to remove religion. Ruling ourselves and our actions with tempered reason is not a bad thing. After all, we can name hundreds of unreasonable claims made by any religion, by individuals who claim to be part of that religion but the majority of that faith are shocked and see as being against the tenants of that religion. At the time of this writing "Muslim Terrorist" is a common part of the news headlines. The terrorists are using the Faith of Islam to do some terrible things. Tempering that with reason and we find that the majority of Islam know and understand that there is a reasonable and unreasonable take on Islam. Each Faith comes with it the interpretation which requires the faithful to temper their tenants with reason. Failure to do so destroys other's ability to have their own faith. Tempered Reason does not mean you must give up your faith, passion, tradition, it asks that you think before you act, consider the equality of your fellow human beings knowing that they are different and have a different take on things. This tenant also underscores the latter, in that it indicates that diversity must be taken into consideration. Unreasonable demands by faith, tradition, passions automatically sets the wheels in motion for unreasonable demands by the majority, the forcing of ones beliefs over another is plain wrong. This guide attempts, in generic broad terms to address our actions and asks us to rule ourselves with reason. 5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts. Not all nations are equal with the law, not all nations have fair laws and just courts. There are still dictatorships out there where people are put away forever under unfair systems of justice. If one read into this a NWO plan to take over all nations, then they themselves must think that dictatorships are the best thing to have. I don't even see how this can be misconstrued as anything less than insuring fair treatment in all nations for all people. 6. Let all nations rule internally, resolving external disputes in a world court. This Tenant is misunderstood as to mean that all nations and people need to have the same laws, and that a Global Police force needs to take over all levels of policing. Further many misinterpret this to mean that national Courts should be abolished and a single form of court on all levels needs to take their place. Let nations rule internally: Means that each nation has the right and the duty to tend to its civil and criminal justice systems in all cases of internal issues. That means that the USA maintains its domestic affairs, while a world court conducts international or global affairs. To the pride of many Americans this takes away Americas notion that it is the rightful police man of the world. I hate to be the one to point it out, but America is far from perfect and has no right to inflict upon the rest of the world its ideals of Freedom, Justice and Liberty. There are many nations who see things differently. Resolving external disputes in a world court: means that political, international crime and international grievances needs a global, unified system of justice which is composed of laws which are internationally sound and agreed upon. The question "Who gets to trial and judicate over this man" is a question which is being asked more often, simply because our technological world has reached the point where travel between nations takes place all the time. A World Court would remove this question and provide a forum of judicial due process which would insure that each case is handled in the same manner, that all international criminals are treated in the same manner, that external disputes are weighed in a balance which is globally accepted and understood to be fair and represents a global, international agreement of treatment for all. Unlike a UN or a League of nations, this Guide suggests a court. A court is understood to be the place where grievances are heard and due process of law, meaning the defining and process of placing the grievance against laws which are already in place. The UN promotes diplomacy to make up laws at the situation arises. A court would require for all nations to hammer out a global international set of laws to apply in cases of international interest. Let nations rule internally is a far cry from the notion of one world government, it is a direct statement which indicates to the reader that nationality is to be maintained. 7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials. This Guide goes with the last, not only on national levels but international as well. A streamlined efficiency is what all things needs. Unfortunately most nations are hampered by outdated laws, laws which are silly, laws which reflect society as it was 100, 200 years ago. These laws can (and do) hamper the process of due process and can lead to some embarrassing moments in legal history. Did you know that no to long ago a prisoner was released from Nevada state prison and was handed a horse, a saddle a riffle and the current market value of a $20.00 gold piece? Why? Because Nevada laws books had a long forgotten law which specifically said that a prisoner upon release was entitled to a horse, saddle, riffle and a $20.00 Gold piece. The law was challenged by the ex-inmate, and was shortly over turned to prevent its being used by other released inmates in future. Did you know that it is illegal to whistle underwater in Boston? Or that it is illegal to carry an ice cream cone in your pocket in Los Angeles? These are petty laws. There are no need for them and are understood by all to be silly laws. There are offices of government administration which are redundant, useless and in many cases costly. A reasonable look at these and removal of those which perform the same functions as other, or which perform no function at all would save money, time and in most cases would simplify and clarify many procedures. This guide might also call into question budget spending such as $250.00 on a hammer or $300.00 on a toilet seat. 8. Balance personal rights with social duties. It would appear that this means that we all must live in a communistic state and perform for the better of all. This is not what is being stated by this Tenant. What is being stated is that there needs to be a balance between selfishness and selflessness. A balance between the good of the one over many compared to the good of the many over one. Social duties include, but are not limited too: paying taxes, following laws, volunteering, accepting others rights and freedoms to be different than yours. These are basic truths held in the Constitution of the USA which is for all intents and purposes considered to be the freest, most just and equal nations on earth. This guide is held up as a proof of a communistic or socialist intent. BALANCE is either not understood or totally ignored by those examining and posturing on these Guides. Guide 8 quantifies and underscored the need to balance our personal wants against the needs of the species. This would call into question why it is that of the worlds resources goes to 300 million people. It would require us to examine ourselves and see that the balance of goods is way out of sync to the population. This is the Guide which makes sense these other guides, and points out that humanity is not just individuals but is a groups of individuals who are ultimately responsible for each other. It says "You are your brother's keeper." Balance personal rights with social duties is far more than surrendering your right to do what ever, it calls on you to strike a level of understanding that you are not alone in the world and as an individual you must consider the effect your choices have on those around you. Christians are first to point out that this promotes communism. All of Christ's teachings taught communism, putting others over self at all times. Thus this tenant is more Christ-like than most Christians. 9. Prize truth, beauty, love...seeking harmony with the infinite. How can anyone find fault with this tenant? It suggests that we hold dear those things which humanity has always held dear, while at the same time promotes spirituality - Harmony with the infinite is the most generic way of saying "Seek out God" "Worship Allah" "Praise Goddess" and all of the other religious ways of approaching God/Deity. Without stating a specific name of the divine, without specifying one method of reaching this goal, this Tenant suggests to prize our faiths, our love, and our truths. Failure to see this as the most basic of human rights is a failure of Spirituality in so many ways. This guide reaches to the core of what it is to be a human being, it holds up the most cherished aspects of individuals and society and asks us to prize them - To prize a thing means to cherish it, to hold it above all else, to honor it and respect it and display it as a gift. Against the notion of Evil, Antichrist, NWO, etc. this guide promotes the dignity and diversity of the concept of God (The infinite) tell all who read to seek out an understanding a harmony with God as they understand God. Failure to see that has no excuse. |
