February 22nd Wee. Last week was a long week. We had a guest fly in from Toronto to work with the music department for a week. Then we had 2 concerts. On Valentines day I went down to New West with Carolyn and Cally and we looked at grad dresses, before going to my house. I had some girls sleepover as sort of an Anti-valentine's day party becuase non of us have beaus. Then anthony and Joe came over, because alas they have no beaus as well. We watched Ever After because it is a romance movie and it further saddened our pitiful attempts at romance. Plus I think Dougray Scott is sheckshee. The guys went home after the movie and the rest of us stayed up until 2. We thought, gee, this won't be a sleepover without watching Pirates of the Carribean! so we put it on Laara's Laptop and then proceed to watch it from the mass pile of mattresses and sleeping blankets that we found ourselves lying upon. Then we fell asleep. All this week has been nothing but HAIR rehearsal and little "ankle biters" for grade 9 for a day. in acting last week we did a Bad luck in Love performance. and on thursday we got our scenes for our next project. gllllllllll. on our Pro-day we were fated and yet again had to come to school for HAIR rehearsal. we had to wear our hippie costumes. hehehehehe anthony looks like a mad scientist in flannel. Last night I met up with Jomopo and just drove around, and listened to his random comments such as "Mike is eating, I hate trucks" "it's the LAPD!!! .... i think it sounds better than RCMP" "shut up..." "wanna banana? They're in that compartment" and "W.T.F?" then we went to the docks and pretended to be drunken pirates. yo HO!!! Then I called up carolyn and she took me to see ROTK like OMG! lol. fun! Today is nothing ness. enjoy!
February 27th We've been rehearsing for HAIR all week, and there's still another month until the show. This musical is pretty much dominating over my life at the moment. Everything revolves around it. But yes. it's a fun time being a hippie and "pretending" to be on drugs. that's as close to a psychadelic artificial high as I'll ever be. and that's as far as I want to be too. :) but yes. NExt week I will begin washing overhead rolls again. I CAN"T WAIT!!! oh dear.
February 29th Last night i went with Cally and Carolyn to see the other school's production of HAIR, not to spy or anything. their's was very sex oriented, and it seemed as if everything gave them some sort of hippie orgasm. interesting. They all had good voices though. man, they had good voices, A lot of them sounded like pop singers though. yeppers. After the show we went to Tim Horton's. good ol' timmy ho's. Then we sat in Cally's car in the parking lot, and we played her HAIR CD and sang at the top of our lungs some of the songs. WHITE BOYS!!! BLACK BOYS!!! MIXED MEDIA!!! oh yeah. Then cally drove carolyn and I back to my house, and carolyn sleptover. Weeoooh. Then we talked for a long time. And carolyn tried MAtzoh ball soup. MMMMMMMMMM
March 6th After church Carolyn called me up. I went with her and Cally and Mary to The Pantry. LOW ANd BEHOLD the sheckshee Dishwasher was there. He sat us down at our table. woot woot and then gave us our drinks. then a group of tourists sitting at the table next to us gave us 2 for 1 coupons and so we ate. And the came to visit. And we told him to bring us more cutlery. and Carolyn reminded him that he forgot my straw. HEHEHE.
March 14 LAst night went to joe's party. which was disappointing. This whole week I've bene at school for the longest time working Hair. HAIR. go see it. see it. or else. The count will come get you. mu hahah. Today I cleaned my bookshelf. and started on my closest. this marks the beginning in the chapter where I clean my room. Tomorrow: filming ... and my closet.
march break 15-21 weeeeeeeeeeeeeeooo. My march break was pretty exciting. WOh. no. on the monday I felt really sick and didn't get any sleep at all and threw up 2 during the night. then during the day we had to film and then I tried to sleep for the rest of the day and that didn't work either. on the tuesday if I remember correctly I cleaned my room. On the WEdnesday I went to metrotown with my mom and we checked out some grad dresses. Again, we went to Zibba and they had the best dresses out of all of the stores. but the lady said that next week they were going to get a new shipment in so I should wait until then and i might find something else. SO yes. cool. then after I went to school where we had PROPS NIGHT and worked on the set and stuff for HAIR and got all painted and dirty. woot woot. rain rain Thursday we filmed again. yes we did. and that was all. and anthony came over to and he let me do his hair while we watched blacksash (thank you andrew!!1) Friday we went downtown vancouver OH YEAH and guess what? yeppers shakira took us to her dad's hotel and we got a tour AND we got to go inside CUBA GOODING JR'S hotel ROOM!!! OH YEAH! OH YEAH!!! and then we went to moxie's for lunch and stuff and it was a good time. STARBUCKS DOESN'T HAVE MY TAZOBERRY CREME FRAPPACCINO WITH WHIPPED CREAM ANYMORE!!! then afterwards, anthony, carolyn and I went to daniella's and met up with other members of HAIR celebrar the birthday of Daniella. she's sooooooo sweet. :D good time good time CAN-TAR Saturday after church I went to milestone's where I met up with elisa and some of the gang. woot woot, then we went to rocky point park and took some pictures, and then we went to elisa's house and watched cat in the hat and men in tights. OH YEAAAAAAH OH YEAAAAAAAAH. and then I sleptover at Elisa's. and then in the morning elisa and her mom dropped me off at school because we had another HAIR rehearsal. fun ! yay!
march 22nd Today is elisa's BIRTHDAY!! WOOT WOOT!!! happy birthday emu baby happy birthday to you! and then we had a long hair rehearsal after school. it was almost a tech run but we were there until about 8:30 9 ish. LONG day of singing and dancing and UNDULATING.
march 23rd another TEch run, and a cue run. woot woot more singing and dancing. yOu people better come see this play. or else ... you don't see it. and that is all I can do about it. tell you about how you didn't see it and state the obvious. I have to go scramble now and get notes done for the entire psychology chapter.
march 24th today we had our dress rehearsal. WOOT WOOT I got to put make up on anthony. (he only wears it because of the play ,,, it's not like he takes pleasure from it or anything ...) And then I got home in time to watch DUN DUN DUUUUUUUN THE OC! oh yeah! oh yEAH!!!
march 25th woot woot at lunch today we did a preview of HAIR in the cafeterium, and then we proceeded in our hippie outfits to the foyer where we had our own hippie be-in shouting lines from the play. tonight is our first show!
June 23rd Well it certainly has been a while since I've made a Journal entry. i've had Hair, Scene Night #1 & 2, 2 music concerts ... Grad ... my goodness I've graduated. This is all quite depressing. Mustn't talk about it though. more to come no worries! School's out so i have all the time int he world for this!
