WEdnesday October 15th WEEOO today was our first music concert of the year. I stayed after school for a while with a bunch of other band folk to decorate the theater. The theme of the concert was Canadian so we were all dressed in matching attire. I put on this red lip gloss to my face in the form of a maple leaf, then I put this white stuff around it that was lent to me by amanda. Right before the concert someone brought up a good point "Um, how are you going to play your instrument?" gllllll good point. SO!!! my whole face was red and white except for this thick line of just bare skin from the bottom of my lips to my chin. Hehe. Anyways, our band didn't play too well, but we sang well, so that was a good thing. yes. I had on this hideous red nail polish that i couldn't wait to get off my fingers when I got home. and the lip gloss came off only after I washed my face about 3 times. good concert, good concert.
October 18th After church mike came over and we watched "Basic" which my mom had rented the night before. After that i went down to his house and hung out a bit. Then JOe came and picked me up with anthony. They came down his street honking the horn. ARGH!! :P Then we picked up Elisa and headed off to a safe little non violent pool hall and played for an hour. weeooo that was fun. After we went looking for a Starbucks but they were all closed. So, instead, we went to dairy queen and had ourselves a frozen treat. Elisa had to leave early so we dropped her off then tried to find something else to do as the night was still young. Pfff, we ended up just sitting on my porch talking about this upcoming year and plans that we should make. it was still good fun.
October 23rd After school I did some tutoring, then Anthony and I went to our dance audition for "Hair" hehe. Later on that night We had the Roller thon. Tanya and I went pledging yesterday and went again today before we went. I DIDN'T FALL AT ALL DURING THE ROLLER THON!!! NOT ONCE!!! I was quite proud of myself. I almost fell down once though, but then I grabbed onto my sister. phew ... good thing I didn't fall otherwise she would have as well and then she'd kill me! gllll, she may look cute, but WATCH OUT!!! Then Elisa sleptover after the rollerthon. weeoo. up until 2, yes.
October 24th We had a pro-d day today. Anthony called me up and we did something. woot woot he drove me to the mall. It was my first time driving with him. Not the bad driver, except, whenever he made a turn he'd say something along the lines of "Gee, if that turn were any sharper, we'd probably be dead" because his vehicle has a warning sign on it saying that the vehicle could flip if turned too sharply. We walked in the mall, then went to starbucks. After we went for a little drive by a movie set, hehe. Crazy people. then we called joe and we picked him up, and went to Tim Hortons. ate food, good food. then we went back home. good day, good day.
October 25th After church, Vincent came over and installed a firewire port in my computer. I was so happy!! yay! now I can edit home movies and stuff like that and take pictures from my camera and put them on my website!!! yay! now I have a firewire port!!! Went to anthony's house in the evening. No one else came so it was just him, me, and Eliza Dushku. He rented wrong turn so we watched that in the evening. Intense I say, intense, not as gory as I had heard it was (then again I was too chicken to keep my eyes open for the whole movie so I wouldn't really know) but it wasn't all that scary. I thought the cannibles were going to be a little creepier and not laugh like hyenas. But yes. good show good show that Eliza dushku, and that guy that played jesse keys in the Mini series "Taken" was in it as well. Yep. then after we practiced for our singing audition. It was the first time that I had ever heard anthony sing by himself. he sang so well! yes, then we were singing together and acting like little hippies because hey that's what hair's about right? so I waas his backup singer singing "flowerssssssssssss beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeads, happiness" yes, it was quite fun
October 27th WEEOO tonight is the return of the OC!!! that's another tv show i'm now hooked on thanks to anthony yet again. However, every time he gets me hooked on a show I end up not complaining.
october 29th yes! smallville on tonight! yes! yes!!! I stayed and practiced trumpet after school for about an hour. that was all good fun. yes. That's my day. I talked to andrew online for a bit. The filming thing is next week. i'm so psyched!!
October 31st I went to school wearing a kimono today. Even though I don't celebrate halloween I thought I'd take advantage of the fact that you're basically allowed to wear anything you want on this day. We went out with Chris and andrea across the street for dinner and a movie. We went to the ABC restaurant and then went to see Runaway Jury afterwards. I saw Cally and Greg there; they went to see Kill Bill. I have yet to see that. I can't wait. mu haha. Anyways we went home after the movie. It's always so smoky and foggy in the streets after halloween because of all the smoke from the firecrackers. They were going off until 3 in the morning on the street next to me. Kind of hard to sleep at 11 when it sounds like there's gun fire near your home.
November 1st I had Elisa come over at around 6:30 she thought it was 7 30 though, because she got the time from someone who hadn't changed their watch yet. We took some pictures with my camera and then put them on my computer. She hid her face the whole time though, it was so funny. yeppers. Anyway, then we got an ingenius idea for a little short film made with pictures. it involves corrupt barbie dolls. yes. Then anthony came over with "True Calling" and we watched that, then just spent the rest of the evening taking pictures of each other with my camera and putting them on my computer. it was good fun, good fun.
November 7th Today's school schedule was all screwy because we had a remembrance day assembly. mu haha. we're so lucky, while other schools have to go to school on monday, and then not on tuesday (due to the fact that it's remembrance day) we get to miss monday AND tuesday. A FOUR DAY WEEKEND RESULTING IN A 3 DAY SCHOOL WEEK!!! yes, this will be magnificent. mmm mmm mmm so after a woked up day, my sister and I were driven to the West side of the Vancouver area, where we met up with Andrew, (who I met this summer at thee film school) to begin our participation in the Zoom Fest, a 48 hour film festival. woo hoo. yes. we stayed up until 3 coming up with an idea based on this years theme of "Glass". that's ... rather difficult.
November 8th Proceeded to film our little movie based on the theme "Glass" . Rather difficult as andrew's school was only open for 4 hours and we were only there for 2 and the most crucial shots take place in that area. Proceeded to film some more and more and more within the area, and were up again until 3 filming. around then we started getting grumpy ... so we called it a night.
November 9th went to the school early in the morning to try and film the remainder of our scenes and edit. we didn't make it though :( by 1 we were still filming and the deadline was at 5. we were all a little bummed so we all went to Earls and had a happy waiter. then Tanya and I went home and left andrew. Yes. his dog looked like a cat.
November 10th mmmm slept like a baby last night. I spent the day... doing nothing actually. I was supposed to have a callback today for "HAIR" but it was postponed due to the illness known as the flu which had fallen upon the director. SO no callback. I had some people come over at night though, that was jolly good fun. lovely. people came at different times, and we didn't do much but sit around and talk, and spend an hour watching THE OC, oh yeah baby. yep. Joe came and started to wear my scarf which was lying around. I took some pictures with my CAMERA. mu haha. fun.
November 11th: remembrance day. I watched the ceremonies on the news. very solemn. yes. I didn't do much today. sat around. ... I couldn't do my homework. because I was an idiot, you see, the auditions were to be held at school, and so I thought "Gee, I'll have no time to do my homework until monday anyway, due to the film fest and all, I think I'll just leave my stuff here and get it monday when I come for the audition." yes. smooth move there exlax. so I didn't get my homework done. then again I really didn't have any, except fpr review. but yes. sigh. boring. SMALLVILLE WAS ON!!! yay, I got to see Relic, finally.
November 13th after school I went to the mall with my ma and sista. My original intent was to get some yarn for crocheting (yes, I crochet. knot knit, butt crochet) we ended up going to stitches, tanya bought me a shirt, which was the same as the one she ended up buying. WEEOO twins. yeah. then I went to Zellers and found that OH , they don't have any yarn (well, very small selection ... ) so we ended up driving out to Walmart and I spent about 60 dollars on yarn. yes.
November19th ugh. This week has been h0rrible. I don't even know why. since monday I've been getting up and thinking "ugh, why do I do this? there are so many things to do! if I just stay in bed I won't have to do them!" then again, what teenager doesn't think that. but it's not usually the case for me. Usually my first thought in the morning is "turn off the alarm before you go deaf". but it hasn't been like that lately. I come home after school and I won't do anything except be idle and do nothing that stimulates the mind. I'm in complete boredom, even though there's so much to do around me. And that's the part that gets me, there's so much to do and I just don't feel like doing it all, so I don't do anything. Which I find irritatin because I would find doing many things at once good fun. :P I'm retreating back into my old habits too. the television. oh the many hours of television. argh, this really should stop.
