| A short, very personal "definition" of what nowadays is called backpacking. Backpacking Backpacks with tourists/travelers and a guidebook (e.g. Lonely Planet, Rough Guide, Footprint etc.) through cities and countries. Trips to natural/nature sites are (an organized) part of a longer trip. The backpack can often be replaced with a suitcase or travelbag. Backpacking "Walking with a backpack through nature". Walking/hiking, biking, kayaking etc. A good backpack is a more often then not a "must". The idea is clear I think. You have a better definition? Please email me! |
