BIOGRAPHY
Born on June 11, 2005, MENLEY is from the spectacular litter sired by BIS GCh. Vanderbilt's Man O'War, C.D., CGN, RE, TT x Ch. Vanderbilt Paint Me Pretentious, CGN.  The litter of 6 (2 boys, 4 girls) was co-bred by Linda Johnson of Dushanbe Samoyeds and Judi and Blair Elford of Vanderbilt Samoyeds.  We are eternally grateful for this breeding and the generosity Linda has shown by sharing with us our very first dog, the beloved Menley.

Blessed with striking beauty, quick wits, and a syrupy sweet temperament, this boy is nothing short of extraordinary.  In the show ring, Menley accomplished his Championship title with ease.  At the Ontario Breeders Association Shows in February 2006, Menley finished the weekend with
2 x Best of Breed for 5 points from the junior puppy class!  At his next outing, Menley went Best of Breed and 3 x Best of Winners to finish as a 9-month-old at the Norfolk Shows.

Menley has participated in two Samoyed Club of Ontario Specialties to date, taking
Best of Opposite in Sweeps at both shows (Western and Eastern zones) while out of coat.  Additionally, Menley has recently added two group placements to his list of credentials! Visit the news page on this site for more detailed, up-to-date information. As a first-time dog owner and novice handler, Menley couldn't have made our venture together any easier!

To say that we are very proud of this baby boy is an understatement.  Aside from a gorgeous face and superb structure and movement, Menley also has a winning personality to match! Perpetually optimistic and ALWAYS exuberant, he is about as friendly as they come.  He is also ultra-inquisitive and a real problem-solver, able to open boxes, bottles, crates, doors--you name it! He possesses an  incredible ability to go straight to the source of any obstacle or anything peculiar and instantly "figure it out".

Menley currently takes part in occasional shows to get ready for what we think will be a prosperous Specials career.  In fact, he is such a happy and willing worker that we think he will excel in all sports! Rally-Obedience will likely be next on our agenda to help keep this energetic boy well-entertained.  After all, showing off and grabbing attention from just about any crowd are just two of his specialties!

Eyes CERF normal, hips too young.
