| Jeff Peabody, born in Norwalk Connecticut, grew up in a very artistic
environment. Having artistically creative parents, and grandparents who were both
professional artists, this perhaps set the stage for his own life of creativity. Grandfather
Cal Sacks, gained notoriety and respect as an illustrater for publishers
like McGraw Hill. His Grandmother Julie Sacks was a portrait painter with a gift for realism and color "alchemy". Jeff was known to frequently spend time in his grandfathers lavishly
equipped art studio, where he learned "hands on" with the tools of the trade. A few years and a few destroyed Rapidiographs later,
he gained an interest in artists like Big Daddy Roth, Stanley Mouse, and
the artists of Mad magazine. He later discovered H.R. Giger, Robert Venosa,
Dali, and Max Ernst as well as others. Upon moving to Boulder Colorado, he had
a chance to meet and study with Robert Venosa and soon began painting in
oils, and began incorporating pyrotechnics and fire to manipulate the paint as an added element to the visual outcome. Jeff began working with photoshop and Bryce 3d which opened up a whole
new world of creation. As well as playing guitar and singing, he has also written music with samplers and song editors via the computer. Jeff currently resides in the small town of Carnation, Wa
and is the happy father of a 4 year old daughter Ananda Rose. |
