Pool Business

Swim Team: The swim team numbers are reported to be down significantly this year.

Arthritis Class: The arthritis class numbers have been down from last year. This is suspected to be because of cold weather.

Pool Grant: It was learned that the possible extra $30,000 dollars in the grant may not be spent on other projects (ie the park tennis courts) and we were advised to think of another project at the pool that could be completed.

Linda is to check to see what the deadline for spending the $100,000 grant is.

Paul is to check on the durability of the Pool Liner that is being considered for the pool.

Other Pool Business: Paul was informed that all lifeguards must be at least 16 years old in order to work at the pool

Paul submitted a report of pool attendence and financial statements. Carlton gave Paul a binder with some forms that he may use to make record keeping easier.

Linda is to purchase an ad stating that the pool is open.

Park Business

Park Equipment: The old swinging horses have been removed from the park. The Board will hold off on purchasing new equipment until financial situation is better.

There is now water available at the park. It is under a lock box and requires a wrench to turn on.

Park Reservations: The park pavilion has been reserved three times this summer.
 
 

Miscellaneous

Park Board Books: Carlton said that he would update the books after the election of officers is held.

Bylaws: A motion was raised (Doerner, Spencer) and approved to accept in whole the Bylaws pepared for the Park Board by Carlton Doerner. The motion needed 2/3 approval and passed 5-0.

Other: Ideas were raised about having an Adopt a Park program and an auxillary pool program. Carlton is to find more information about the Adopt a Park program and present it to the board.
