Being brought up by beatniks, it's kind of hard to imagine young Ned being an out-of-control freak but he was. To reverse this hyperactivity, he went through an experimental spank-o-logy, which made him a good little boy and only stammer out nonsenical words, such as the faous 'Okely-dokely'. Ned Flanders is married to Maude, and has two children named Rod and Todd. Being the neighbour of Homer Simpson, Ned has had to endure things like Rod's swearing habit and items being stolen, such as TV trays. He owns the only left-handed store in Springield, the Leftorium and his education is a Ph. D in mixology. One of his favourite items in his house is his Propane Elaine, his gas grill and his favourite book is the Bible. He hates it when Maude underlines text in the Bible. However, he won't have to put up with that anymore as the good Lord has taken Maude away, and left Ned alone with his two kids. He has also 'murdered' before - Maude's favourite plant, and his secret shame is that he screams like a sissy girl. However, many people are annoyed by Ned. Despite his holy ways, Reverend Lovejoy does not like Ned much, and neither does Homer. When new neighbours move in, he enjoys singing them songs.
