| Place of Birth - Izumo in Shimane prefecture, 15 years old, Star sign Libra, blood type O. A normal high school student... Momiji is also known as the 'Kushinada' after the 'Princess Kushinada' in a Japanese legend. Her death will result in an EM pulse which will render all Aragami asleep indefinitely. However, there is a special ceramic based material, which will contain the Kushinada's power, but only a few Aragami know of this material and fewer still know how to make it. After her confrontation with the Aragami Yamata no Orochi, Momiji has a bead implanted in her breastbone, which reacts to the presence of any nearby Aragami. She is developing feelings for Kusanagi, although his attitude often frustrates her. Momiji had a twin elder sister called Kaede, who's disappearance resulted in Momiji's recruitment into the TAC. |

| Place of Birth: Tokyo, Star sign: virgo, blood type B Head of operations for the TAC and appears to hold the highest rank. He raised Kaede, Momiji's sister, like his daughter. Since her loss, he has taken Momiji into his home and is trying to be a good parent again, although Kaede is never far from his mind. |

| Akiko is a school friend of Momiji's from Izumo. She has known Momiji most of her life and knows that she has been performing purification rituals much in the same way a miko might. Unlike Momiji, Akiko is familiar with the legend of the Kushinada. After all, she too has lived in Izumo all her life. But what she doesn't know about is Momiji's destiny as the Kushinada. Akiko is only a minor character in Blue Seed. But it is through her eyes, that we see how much Momiji has changed as a result of taking on the responsibilities of the Kushinada when Momiji returns to Izumo in search of the Amano Iwatto in order to stop Lord Susano-oh. |

| She is old. She is wise. She is the leader of the Kushinada clan, and yet the producers failed to name this venerable character... Grandmother is Momiji's teacher when it comes to preparing her for her destiny, and yet, she has hidden the truth from Momiji, hoping the time would never come that her granddaughter would have to know of her ultimate destiny. When Kunikida comes to tell them of the reappearance of the Aragami and the death of Kaede, Grandmother takes it hard, feeling that the time of the Kushinada has passed and that there is nothing more to be done. Since she is so wise, I believe that she says this out of reluctance to have Momiji offered as a human sacrifice. That is, of course, just my personal opinion... For she does relent and allow Momiji to be placed in the care of Mr. Daitetsu Kunikida, man in charge of the TAC, but only after he swears that he will protect her. No blood type information can be found on her, nor is there data concerning her zodiac sign. |

| Place of birth: Hokkaido, Star sign: Leo, blood type - AB Ryoko was an officer in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police before she was transferred to the TAC.Extremely calm, efficient and an expert marksman, she is an integral part of the TAC as both investigative and front line officer. She still has an admirer in the Police Department, in the form of Detective Sugishita, although she has little interest in his advances. |
