Some of my Favorite Art

One of my favorite artists is Salvador Dali. He was a prominent Spanish surrealist painter born in Figueres, Catalonia, Spain. Perhaps my most favorite painting of him is The Persistence of Memory was completed in August 1931. Click here to see this painting.

Another on of my favorite pieces of art is The Death of Socrates, 1787 by Jacques Louis David. David's paints focus on the classical subject, and in this painting, he is depicting the execution of Socrates, which was told by Plato in his Phaedo. Click here to see this painting.
