  Trees And Man

"No, please don't ..." Another one calls,
"Timber!"- Its screams die out as it falls.
This process goes on minute by minute,
Yet no one wants to even try to stop it.
This has gone on for long centuries
- The cutting down of innocent trees.
Trees that only bring good to us
Soon, they may all come to pass.
Due to Man's desire for more cash,
These living things will all turn to ash.
Men's consciences don't even prick them,
That they are causing this mayhem.
For soon our resources will be gone-
Things we are used to since we were born.
Stuff like rubber, paper and wood,
But most importantly, our food.
Will the food producers still be around?
No, you can find them six feet underground After being
Put to death by Man
Who spares no mercy for this Friend
For where would we be without her-
Stone-cold dead in the grave, I'm sure
She who even gave us our air
Yet our mistake had to bear

The day has come- there are no more trees
Slowly but surely, time starts to freeze
I can see it from afar
The words "Rest In Peace"- Man's Epitaph
