Chris arrived home the next morning and heard his answering machinge beeping. He pressed the recieve button, then all of a sudden the answering machine made this weird sound then the machine went beserk. The tape had been scattered and the answering machine had blown up. Chris was shocked as he gathered the little bits and pieces of the machine. He forgot about the message that he didn't get to hear and threw away the pieces. He looked at the picture that Mrs.Kolita had taken and given to him in this nice picture frame. He smiled and went to bed. He was too tired to do anything else. About ten minutes, he fell asleep with the picture in his hand. *************************************************************** "Why hasn't he called yet?" Greg said to Matt who was sitting on the couch with Daniella watching tv. Caity sat on the floor watching, too. "Maybe he was abducted by aliens!" Daniella screamed. Caity laughed and Matt just looked at Greg. Greg laughed at what his litle sister had said. He shook his head and went to the phone. He dialed Chris's number and waited as it rang. He waited and waited and no one answered. Greg sighed and put the phone down. Matt got up from his seat and walked over to greg. "Nothing yet?" Matt asked. Greg shook his head and put his hands on his hips and looked at the phone. "Nothing yet...,"Greg answered. Greg looked over at Caity and saw her laughing with Daniella. He sighed and went over to watch with them *************************************************************** Lana woke up in her bed, she knew she fell asleep in Chris's arms but didn't know how she got in bed. She looked around for a second. "Chris tucked you in last night...," Mrs.Kolita said as Lana turned towards the door where she saw her mother. Lana smiled as her mother sat down next to her. "He is such a sweet boy...tucking you in like that. He even kissed you good-night. You picked a good boy, Lana, sweetheart," Mrs.Kolita said as Lana laughed and hugged her pillow. "I did...didn't I?" Lana said laughing. Mrs.Kolita laughed and smiled as she kissed her daughter then walked out of the room. Lana giggled and got up from her bed. She walkedto the bathroom and shut the door. She came back out dressed and ready for another day's worth of searching for her little sister. She smiled as she saw a picture on the counter. She looked at it and saw a picture of Chris pushing away strands of hair off her face. She was so flattered and saw her mother standing at the doorway. She smiled at her mother and put the picture in a safe place. She walked out of her room and headed outside. She sighed as she saw the early morning sun and headed towards the police station. *************************************************************** Frankie dialed Jesse's number and told him to meet him at Greg's house. Jesse headed towards the nearest travel bus and headed for Long Island. *************************************************************** Frankie put down the phone headed outside. Greg had called him and told him to come to his house. Their rehearsels had been cancelled for a week and he had nothing else to do. He walked towards the subway and paid for his token. He didn't want to bring his metro card because he didn't want to charge anything. He waited for the subway car and then he saw an old friend. He looked at him and remembered a short brown-haired boy, and now he saw a blonde-haired tall guy. "Hey, Tyler! It's me...Frankie!" Frankie yelled over to him. Tyler turned around and smiled at his old buddy. "Hey, man! Long time no see! What's up?" he asked as the train came. "I'm okay...you?" "It's cool over here!" he answered as they parted. Frankie walked into one subway car and Tyler walked into the other. Frankie then saw Erika, the girl who had seen Caity last, enter the car. Frankie yelled hey and she turned around. Erika turned around with a pale face. "It's him! That's the guy I last saw Caity with!" Erika yelled as she pointed through the window on the door seperating the two cars. Frankie looked towards the way she pointed. He gasped at what he saw. He saw her pointing at Tyler. *************************************************************** Chris woke up to the ringing of the telephone. He yawned and picked it up. "Uh...hello?" Chris asked as he stretched and walked with the phone down the stairs. "Chris!!!!Why didn't you call back? It's Greg...,"Greg yelled. Chris almost burst out laughing with the way he said his name. "What do you mean? You never called me! What's the deal?" Chris answered as he walked towards the kitchen. He heard Greg sigh. He opened the refrigerator and pulled out a bottle of water. "I did call you...I left a message on your machine. Didn't you get it?" "Oh, sorry man," Chris said laughing as he remembered the answering machine blowing up,"my answering blew up in my face...literally. So I didn't hear your message." "Oh...sorry...I need you to come to my house right now! It's really important!" Greg said as he heard Chris gulping down his water. "Why?" "I think I found Lana's little sister, Caity. I couldn't call Lana herself because I didn't have her number. Plus, Caity was hit in the head and she doesn't remember much of anything like where she lives and her number. All she remembers is her name and the state she is in. To me...that's scary... and weird." "Oh! Ok...I'll call Lana and tell her to go to your house. Just wait there." "Where else would I go?" Greg answered sarcastically and then he hung up. Chris looked at the door and then looked back at the phone. He dialed Lana's number and waited as it rang. He waited and then only her answering picked up. He sighed and let a message. "Lana...you should go to Greg's house right nowl. He thinks he's found your sister. I really think you should come, she doesn't remember much so I warn you not to be hurt when she doesn't remember you. I'm going over there right now. I'll hopefully see you there. Later...this is Chris if you don't already know," Chris said knowing the message was corny and not properly said. He didn't care and went straight to the subway. *************************************************************** Lana walked in and heard her answering machine beeping. She pressed the recieve button and heard Chris's message. She gasped as she saw her mother walk in. She replayed the message for her mother to hear and they both ran to the car. *************************************************************** Chris walked out of the subway station and started to run to Greg's house. He stopped when he saw a bunch of girls in front of him. He tried to walk around them so they wouldn't know who he was. But it was too late, they had already started screaming his name. He had to stop and answer their questions, sign autographs, etc....Then he saw more groups of girls coming his way. He panicked as they surrounded him. He started to sweat as they pushed into him. Then he heard a car beeping at him. All the girls turned to the car. Chris pushed his way to the car and saw the car door slide open. He smiled when he saw Lana's face. "Are you coming or not? Or do you still want to be smothered by you fans, Mr.Trousdale?" Lana said as Chris looked around and said sorry to everyone. He just nodded and jumped into he car. "Hello, Chris! How are you today?" Mrs.Kolita said laughing. Chris smiled and then answered. "Fine, just fine..." He answered laughing. They both were laughing except for Lana. Lana looked out the window and watched all the houses they passed by. The moment she heard Chris's message she had stopped thinking. When she saw Chris being smothered by his girl fans, she had started to think, "Am I the right one for him?" *************************************************************** Lana walked in and saw her little sister watching and laughing at the tv. She ran over and hugged her. Caity had just sat there not lifting an arm still looking at the tv. Chris walked in and stood by Jesse. "Caity? Caity...it's Lana...your big sister. Are you ready to come home?" Lana asked as the 4 boys backed away giving them space. Caity looked over at her with a blank face. "Lana? I don't have a big sister...I'm already at home. What are you talking about? Who are you?" Caity asked. Lana covered her mouth and pain went to her stomach. She felt tears in her eyes and then she stood up to protest. "Caity? What are YOU talking about? This isn't your home and you do have a big sister. You have a mother right over there and a loving father waiting at home. Your home...OUR home." Lana said as she felt those tears spill onto her already red cheek. She pushed the thought away of her sister not remembering her and remembered she was hit in the head and couldn't remember a thing. She grabbed her sister's hand and started to pull her up. Caity pulled away and looked over at everyone. Lana looked over at Chris then back to her 4-year-old sister. Caity backed away from Lana and then Mrs.Kolita ran over to her littlest daughter. Lana stood there horrified at what Caity had done and faced the floor. Mrs.Kolita put her arms around Caity and then Caity pushed her away. Everyone stood there looked on, not knowing what to do. Lana looked over at Caity still hurt. "Caity...You have to know where you are and who you are and not what you think is. Caity....You gotta believe...,"Lana said as Caity looked over to her and stood amazed at what she had said,"...You Gotta Believe..."
