| Chapter One Jesse McCartney sat silently in the corner of Dream Street's large tour bus. The others were spread across the room doing various other activities to keep themselves busy. Chris was sitting in a corner listening to his discman, Frankie and Matt were watching TV and Greg was staring at a picture of Britney Spears. Jesse sighed and looked out of the window. It was raining pretty hard. Lightning struck a couple meters away, making him jump. "Should we be driving out here in the middle of a thunder storm?" Jesse asked. "We don't have a choice," Frankie said, "We're on a schedual." "How goods a schedual if we're killed in a car accident," Jesse mumbled, turning to look out the window again. He squinted, thinking that he had seen something race past. He shook his head. There was nothing out there. No one in their right mind would be outside in this sort of weather. Jesse leaned his head on the window and stared out into the rain. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Two people were in the room. There was a large TV screen which they were watching. "How long left?" he asked. "It should hit in a couple minutes," the female answered. "Are we doing the right thing?" she asked. "We have no choice. If we don't get them, they will." The woman nodded. "The team is already there to get them as soon as it hits. I hope things go right," she said, then left the room. "So do I," the man said, "So do I." He wheeled himself out of the room in his wheelchair, leaving the screen to show Dream Street's bus. Chapter Two Another shot of lightning hit closer to the bus. Jesse was getting freaked out. What if the lightning would hit them? What would happen to them? Would they get to their next venue safely? He pulled his jacket tighter around himself. No one else seemed to notice because they were so preoccupied with whatever else they were doing. Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, Jesse spotted something moving. He frowned and squinted. He saw nothing. He could of sworn he saw some sort of wolf running past his window...only it was on two legs. You're over tired Jess. He told himself. You're loosing it. Jesse got up and went to watch TV with Frankie and Matt. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "He almost saw you!" the tall man with the sunglasses hissed. "Well he didn't!" the other growled. "So shut up and check in with headquarters. I want to know when this thing is going to hit so I can get back inside! This rain isn't helping anything!" he hissed, shaking like a dog to try and dry off. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "Five minutes left," the female dressed in white said into the communication device. "Everyone in position?" she asked. "We only have one shot at this." "Ready," four voices called out. "Everyone knows their jobs right?" she asked. "We have to get them here before they wake up. Who knows what they can do!" "Chill, we've been over this fifty times," one of the men answered. "Just to make sure...Who get's who?" she asked. "I get the blondes," replied the same man that had told her to chill. "I get the spike haired one," said his companion. "We go after the two brunettes," replied another two voices. "Two minutes left...Good luck." Jean Grey turned to face the large screen. She watched the tour bus and sighed. "I hope this works," she said, "I hope this works." +Next+ |
