Now that this project is nearing completion, we are planning more time for travel.  Our next trip is to South America where we'll spend a month acting like tourists.  Two weeks cruising and two weeks bumming around Argentina and Uruguay.  We hope to learn more about SA and possibly find places to vacation in the future.  Im working on r my pilots licence again.  I used to fly when we lived in Arizona.  With the cost of fuel and so little time, an airplane should shave days off our travel.  I've always like Aero Commanders both for thier Utility and Safety.  Hopefully I'd like to restore one of these.
The two car garage is 10' tall allowing us to pull the truck in with the kayaks still on top. . Hume Lake is about 30 minutes away.  Its a smallish lake you can paddle across in 30 minutes. Surrounded by pines, its a great way to escape the summer heat. The south and east patio areas attract deer and turkey.  The turkeys sometimes peck at the large windows.
The views from the living room are excellent and we enjoy the open feeling the Nana-wall gives.  The House has 3 bedrooms with one serving as Linda's office.  My office is down at the shop.  The Great Room occupies about 60% of the floorspace and includes the open kitchen.  Since there are no "load-bearing" walls the living room/dining room is 30' x 30'.  The 20' Glass Door system provides unobstructed views of the wildlife and scenery.
The patio is concrete textured to look like granite. We need to complete an Awning system.  Linda has developed some "Shade-Sails" that add both color and some interesting shapes to the south side of the house. The goal is to reduce some of the glare and heat from the summer sun.  It should make the patio a very livable space year round.
