Basics on the Skytrain and Bangkok Transit Systems: There are 2 skytrain lines and 1 subway line. The Skytrain is an overhead light rail system, that goes over roads. It's made up of 2 lines: Silom, and Sukhumvit, named after the roads they follow. All the station names are from the roads that cross the lines. The subway is obviously underground and goes along a route the shape of a backward "C". The subway is scheduled for a soft opening on April 13, 2004, and a full grand opening on August 12, 2004, on HM Birthday. On this page I'll be naming all the stations, and there pronunciations.
