Ok...I've got the general idea of Yaoi and Shounen-ai, but what does it really mean...and what do all these other words I'm comming across mean?

Definitions:

Shounen-ai: literally means "boy-love" and is milder than Yaoi (eg- hugging, kissing, affectionate displays)

Yaoi: involves two pretty guys (bishounen)in sexual actions and situations. (need I explain this?)Y.A.O.I is the abbreviation forYAma-nashi, Ochi-nashi, Imi-nashi (no climax, no punchline, no meaning). There is also another more popular abbreviation which isYAmete, Oshiri Itai! (stop, my ass hurts)

Slash: this practically means the same as Yaoi, except that it is not a Japanese word and usually tends to be more angsty.

Lemon: refers to graphic sex.

Lime: refers to implied, and not graphic sex.

Seme: japanese for the top or dominant male in a pairing.

Uke: japanese for the bottom or submissive male in a pairing.

That should be about it, for the moment...there might be some more terminology later on, If I think it necessary for a particular story or If I feel like adding a glossary.
