Welcome to the Soul Calibur 2 for the Gamecube website. This site gives a brief explaination of Link, Necrid and their weapons to better educate you in the game's two best characters by my opinion.
The
game Soul Calibur 2 is the sequel to the first Soul Calibur. The story involves
a group of characters from all around the world, from different dimensions,
and from different worlds. These characters are searching for pieces of a
old and powerful sword named Soul Edge. The sword is pure evil the feeds off
the soul who ever weilds and who ever is struck by it. This sword and its
weilder fought a person weilding a sword of pure good named Soul Calibur.
Soul Calibur won but was tanted with a piece of Soul Edge thus becoming Soul
Calibur Evil. Since Soul Edge had been shattered the pieces have been sent
to all parts of the world. Once Soul Edge had found a new host/sword by morphing
with it. It was found by a knight, this knight had no idea what it was
but continued to weild it because of Soul Edge's grasp on him was strong.
This knight soon became known as Nightmare. Soul Edge continued to use Nightmare
to search for the remaining pieces of itself so it could become even more
powerful. Each character is in this for different reasons, some to save their
worlds, like Link above, others to gain power or to strike down there foes.
