2:127 “ And when (Prophets) Ibrahim and Ismaeel were erecting
the foundations of the House (Ka,ba), (they prayed to Allah):
‘Our Lord! (Please) accept from us (our humble service of its
construction); indeed, You are All-Hearer ,Knowing every thing.”
[Prophets Ibrahim & Ismaeel continued to pray:]
2:128 “ Our Lord! Keep us Muslims * (submitting) to You, and
also raise from our descendents a Muslim community (who
submit) towards you; and teach (or show) us the tenets [of Hajj
(pilgrimage), Umra etc.) and accept our repentance , since
it is You only , Who accepts repentance, and You are Most
Merciful.’”(*See Muslims: 6:163;2:128,133;12:101)
[ Prophets Ibrahim & Ismaeel still continued to ray: ]
2:129 “ Our Lord! Raise from them (i.e. from the descendents
of Ismaeel) their Messenger (Muhammad-the Last Prophet-peace
be upon him) so as to recite to them Your Verses (Command-
ments), teach them the Book (Al-Quran) and Wisdom (Sunnah)
as well as purify them. Indeed, You are All Powerful, All Wise.”

I. Prophet Ibrahim-Ima’m or Leader: In 2:124, Prophet Ibrahim has been stated as ‘Imam’ or the Leader of the people. It may be noted that all the Prophets raised after Prophet Ibrahim were from his descendents. In the Holy Quran, the word ‘Imam’ has been used for:
a) the Prophets (17:71;21:73), (b) the pious people (25:74;28:5;32:24),
b) disbelievers (9:12), (d) the people of Pharaoh (28:41).
II. a) Kaba (In Mecca) as ‘Haram’ (Sacred & peaceful)
In 2:125-129 above, the Jews have been reminded that the real Kaba was built by Prophets Ibrahim, and is the First House ever built for worshipping Allah (3:96). It is a peaceful place in world.(2:125;3:97;2:126;14:35;95:3)
